in case you drive us off a cliff or something.”

Me: “Fine.”

He turned the key and the car rumbled to life. I looked back at him and wiggled my butt. He smiled.

Me: “I’m so excited!”

Jack: “Ha ha, okay you do know how to steer don’t you?”

Me: “Yeah, I’m not that stupid.”

Jack: “Okay, lets drive.”

I put my foot on the gas and turned the wheel so we can go out of the parking lot.

Me: “Where to?”

Jack: “Go to Columbus Street and turn left. Then you’ll be on Main Street and the food place is right there.”

Me: “Okay.”

I pulled out of the parking lot and onto Columbus Street, I stopped at the light and turned left onto Main Street and that’s when I saw the place. I pulled into the parking lot of the food place and put the car in park.

Me: “Did I do good?”

Jack: “Yeah, why didn’t you pass the test?”

Me: “Long story. Come on lets go eat.”

I got out of the car and Jack followed me. He grabbed my hand and opened the door for me.

Me: “Thank you.”

Jack: "Welcome.”

When we walked into the fast food place we went to the line and looked at the menu.

Worker: “What can I get for you today?”

Jack looked at me.

Me: “I’ll take a number 3.” which was tacos and rice

Worker: “What about you?”

Jack: “A number…7.” a burrito

Worker: “For here or to go?”

Jack: “To go.”

Worker: “Okay that’ll be right up.”

Jack: “Thanks.”

Jack and I went to sit down at a booth.

Jack: “When we get our food want to go to the park?”

Me: “Yeah.”

He stared at me with a look so intense I didn’t get it.

Me: “Why do you stare at me like that?”

Jack: “Like what?”

Me: “So…intensely.”

Jack: “I don’t know, I didn’t notice I was staring at you a certain way.”

Me: “Oh.”

Just then the worker called our number Jack went to get our food and came back to get me.

Jack: “Ready?”

Me: “Yeah.”

When I got up he went to the door and opened it for me. I walked to the passenger side door and got in. I tried to buckle my seat belt but once again I couldn’t. He got in and helped me with the seat belt.

Me: “You really have to teach me how to do this.”

Jack: “Yeah, I’m not going to do it for you next time.”

Me: “So there’s going to be a next time?”

He turned to me and smiled.

Jack: “Yeah, but only if you want.”

I smiled and looked out the window. When we got to the park we went to a table and got out our food. He looked at me before he took a bite. Then I took a bite and he was staring at me. Suddenly I was self-conscious and I thought I was chewing to loud.

Jack: “Don’t be self-conscious.”

I relaxed a little, but only a little. We went on eating and when we were finished we got up to throw our trash away. After we threw our trash away he grabbed my hand.

Jack: “Where to?”

Me: “I don’t know. What time is it?”

Jack: “Uhhh… let me check.”

He pulled out his phone and looked.

Jack: “Ummm that's not good…its 8:54. We better get going.”

We walked to the car and got in. I buckled my own seat belt this time. At the food place I watched him buckle the seat belt.

Jack: “You finally know how to work the seat belt.”

Me: “Well I have a great teacher.”

He leaned over and kissed me.

More coming soon!!!

Continued.

We kissed for a while. Then when we pulled apart we remembered we had to get home. He started the car and drove away from the park. He dropped me off.

Jack: “See you at school.”

Me: “Okay bye.”

He leaned over to kiss me one more time, I never wanted the kiss to end. But it did. I got out of the car and onto the side walk.

Me: “Bye.”

Jack: “Bye see you tomorrow."

Me: “Okay.”

And with that said I walked up to my porch and turned around to wave at him, but he wasn’t there. I hadn’t even heard him pull away. I just shrugged and went inside.
