all she said. I felt bad, but by the look of it, it’s not the first time its happened.

“Hey do you want a drink? I can get you one.” I asked, trying to get her mind off of that guy. She just shook her head.

“No thanks, I don't drink.” She looked away, back towards the house, sighing. “But Logan does, he loves to drink, he does often.”

I felt sorry for her, she shouldn't have to deal with that, with him. But there's nothing I can do about that, but to help her get her mind off of that guy, help her have some fun.

“How about we go somewhere where we can get something good to drink?” She looked a little nervous. “We won’t be long, there’s a store just around the corner. No one will even know we’re gone.” I said, hoping to help her mind ease off a little.

She looked down. “I can't leave the house without Logan. He'll get mad at me if I left.”

“We won’t be long, I promise. If you want I can go by myself and get you something.”

She bit her lip, slowly nodding her head. “Okay.”

I softly smiled at her. “Great, what would you like? My treat, I can get you anything you want.”

“Um…. Just w-water would do.” She looked down, a little unsure of herself.

“Come on, there’s gotta be something you want to drink beside water. I mean it, I’ll get you anything, it’s really no problem.”

“O-okay…  How about a C-Coke?” She slowly looked up at me, still unsure.

“Sure, one Coke coming up.” I smiled at her and just as I was about to leave, I heard someone yelling.

“Where the fuck have you been?! I’ve been looking for you, you dumb slut!” I turned around and saw it was that low life, Logan.

“I-I’m sorry Logan, I just c-came outside to-” She started, but Logan had cut her off.

“To what? Fuck this guy?” He pointed to me, before looking over and saw who I was. “You! Didn’t I tell you to stay the fuck away from my girlfriend? Are you asking for a fight?!”

I just laughed at that, as if he could beat me up. The guy was too drunk to stand up straight, let alone throw a punch. “Just try and hit me. I bet you can’t.”

“Logan, please don’t, l-let’s just and enjoy the party. That’s why we’re here, right?”

Logan turned back to her, and smirked, looking back at me. “Sure thing babe, I’m too good to waste my time on something like him. I’m here for a good fucking time.” He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her back in.

“Wait, you don’t have to go in with him. You’re too good to be treated like this, you deserve better than this.” She turned to look at me, shaking her head.

“No I don’t, I deserve this. This is what I want. I want to be with Logan, he’s the right person for me. Please, just stay away from him, and me.” That look in her eyes told me everything, she’s broken and needs help, but she won’t let me help her.

They walked away, going back into the house. I can’t believe she just with him willingly… again! What the hell does she see in him? There’s nothing good there, he’s a good for nothing, low life, dumbass, who has no life outside of drugs. It’s sad really, but the really sad thing, is that she’s staying with him.

I just don’t understand it. How can her parents be okay with her being with him, unless he acts different around them than he does with her. She probably likes going to her house with him, he must be nicer than.

With a sigh, I looked out at the sky, just thinking. But no matter what, I couldn’t get her off my mind, but I have to, I can’t be with her, she only wants him, no one else, which I think is stupid, but it’s her choice I guess. I turned and went back inside to get another drink, if I’m going to try to get her off my mind, I need more beer, and maybe something a little bit stronger than that, but I’ll stick to beer for now.

~~~
I’ve been here for like an hour, and I’ve had about six beers… and nothing, I still can’t her off my mind. I’ve seen her a couple of times, and have to hold myself back from walking up and talking to her again. I just can’t help myself.
Everytime we see each other, she softly smiles, then looks away, so I know she doesn’t hate me, she just want me and her boyfriend getting into a fight. I can understand that, really I can, I’ve just been waiting for him to leave her side again so I can talk to her. But he won’t leave, he just keeps his arm around her, keeping her close.
You can tell she’s not having a good time, that she’s hating it here, but she won’t tell him, won’t tell him she wants to leave. Now that I’m thinking about it, she probably never wanted to come in the first place, but he made her. That’s just wrong, if she didn’t want to come, then he shouldn’t have made her.
I’m still bored out of my mind, I’ve yet to make any friends here yet, so I no one to hang out with, I have nothing to do. I’m not going to just walk up to a bunch of people and just start chatting it up with them, or go join some random game. I don’t want to make friends at a party, those are the kind of friends I don’t need, they’ll just be the ones who want to go get drunk with and that’s it. If I wanted a drinking buddy, than I’ll just go to my dad’s house.
As I was walking back to the kitchen to get another beer, I saw her from the corner of my eye, and when I turn to look at her, I notice that Logan isn’t around more, so this is my chance to talk to her again.
Walking over to her, I gently smile at her. “Hey there.”
She jumps slightly, looking at me. “What are you doing? Logan can’t see you, he’s finally in a good mood again, you have to go.” She started pushing me slightly, making me chuckle.
“At least tell me your name, I still don’t know it.”
“If I tell you my name, will you go?” She looked up at me, unsure of what I’m doing.
I shrug. “Maybe, maybe not. What’s the big deal anyways, I just want to chat, that’s it. It’s not like I’m making a move, or trying to tell you to leave that ass, which I think you should, but it’s not my place. We’re just friends.” I said, looking her straight in the eyes.
She lightly blushed. “My name is Kara, and Logan doesn’t like me talking to other guys, he doesn’t want them getting inside my head.”
“I’m not trying to get inside your head, I just want to be friends, Logan doesn’t have to know, okay? That is, if you want to be friends.” I said, looking at her cute little blush.
She looked around, biting her lip. “I’m sorry, I really do want to be friends, but I can’t do that to Logan, it’s wrong. I love him and I can’t just go behind his back and hurt him like that.”
“What, like he’s hurting you? He’s cheating on you, and right in front of your eyes, he shouldn’t be dancing with other girls, only you. The way he’s treating you is wrong. Why can’t you see that?” I tried to get her to understand.
Kara shook her head. “Logan loves me, he just doesn’t know how to show it. I know he loves me, he’s the only one that does. And the only one who ever will.” She looked away.
“How do you know that, you won’t let anyone else in.”
She glared up at me. “You don’t know me, and you won’t I love him and he loves me, end of story.” She turned to walk away, but I grabbed her hand.
“Wait, Kara.”
She yanked her hand out of my. “Don’t touch me, I’m done talking to you, I’m going to go find my boyfriend. Leave me alone.”
