βAm I crying?β he asked, looking at the tear fall on his finger.
βNo, she is,β was the response he got.
βWho?β
βWhom you love,β Raina replied, now directly staring at him. Her penetrating gaze was searching for something in him.
βBut I love you,β Amaan was more than confused now.
Raina scooted closer to Amaan. She held his hands in hers and said with a soft smile, βYou loved me, now you love her.β
Amaan was looking at their joint hand and then at her.
He was again distracted by that voice. This time it was explicit. He could make out the words, βsorryβ¦...don't leave meβ¦β¦... I need youβ¦.our child needs you.β
He turned around to see Raina smiling at him again.
βWill you leave me again?β he asked her in a pleading tone, to which Raina shook her head, but the next moment she said, βI never left you.β
βWhose voice is that?β he asked to keep the conversation continue.
βAsmaira,β he heard Raina say.
When he heard Asmaira's name, he stiffened.
βI am sorry, Raina, I never meant to hurt her that night. I don't know what came over me andβ" Raina interrupted Amaan by placing her finger on his lips.
βYou love her, Amaan.β
βYou fell for her, you fell for her innocence, you fell for her selflessness and more to say, you fell for what she is,β Raina added.
βBut I hurt her; she hates me now. It hurts to see her suffer because of me,β Amaan said while lost in his thoughts.
βListen to her voice carefully; you will get your answers,β with that, she stood and started walking.
βWhere are you going?β Amaan also stood and tried to hold her hand, but the more he walked, the more she was far.
βIt's time for me,β Raina said and stood looking at Amaan.
βBut you said you would never leave me,β to which she replied, βI am always there,β she placed her hand on the left side of his chest.
His surroundings started spinning, and he noticed Raina was fading. The more he tried to hold her for one last time, the higher the distant voice was sounding, βI love you, please don't leave me.β He was feeling breathless and his vision started to blur, and before he could pass out, he heard Raina's voice, βI love you, Amaan.β
βI won't trouble you. I will stay away, I promise, but please don't leave me. Not for me, at least for our child, please,β Asmaira was sobbing, holding Amaan's hand.
She felt she was responsible for Amaan's critical condition when she came to know he was driving to meet her.
βI can live with your hatred, but I can't live without you,β She kissed back on his hand which was covered in bandages.
βRaina also must have hated me and left me as a punishment; now you also hate me, but please don't leave me. I will die if something happens to you.β
βAnd I will break your legs if you hurt yourself,β Amaan said in a hoarse voice while coughing lightly due to the strain on his dry throat.
Asmaira immediately raised her head to see Amaan smirking at her. She stood and said, βI am sorry, I didn't mean toββ her words were cut in between when Amaan grabbed her by her neck and smashed his lips on hers.
βAnd I love you too,β Amaan said after breaking the kiss, making Asmaira's cheek flushed.

βRaina,β Asmaira had to scream at the toddler who was crawling at speed, astonishing Asmaira.
βRaina Amaan Hashmi, you better pray, I don't catch you, nobody is gonna save you this time,β Asmaira was feeling breathless trying to catch up with the toddler.
βAnd who is going to punish my baby girl?β Amaan entered the room and noticing her father Raina crawled towards him.
βHer mother, do you have any problem?β Asmaira puffs while slouching on the couch.
βIn fact, I do,β Amaan said, not before yelling, βAMBER.β
Asmaira noticed Amaan was in a bad mood, and she started recollecting whether she did anything wrong that upset him. When Amber came, Amaan kissed Raina on her forehead and said, βtake the kids with you, I need to talk to Asmaira,β without breaking the stare.
βAmaan, are you angry at me?β Asmaira stammered, seeing his indifferent behavior.
He didn't say anything while marching towards Asmaira, who seems to be alert. Before Asmaira could react, Amaan started dragging her out of the room.
βAmaan, please tell me what happened?β she got scared with his sudden change in mood.
She noticed he was taking her towards their room and when they entered it was pitch black. She started trembling with the fear, however, the next second the lights were turned on and she saw the room was decorated with flowers and scented candles.
She turned towards Amaan, who was observing her emotions, which changed from fear to surprise. He held her hand and walked her towards the balcony. Asmaira was overwhelmed to see there was a table for two with a three-tier cake on it. Amaan hugged her from behind and whispered, βHappy birthday Aashi.β
Asmaira couldn't hold back her tears but manage to say, βThank you, this is the best gift.β
βNow that you like my gift, how about a return gift for me?β Amaan said while turning her around and pulling her closer by her waist.
βReturned gift?β Amaan chuckled, seeing her confused face.
βYes, how about making twin babies tonight?β Amaan whispered in her ear, making her blush immediately.
