Met Brier Rose Madden. She is quiet and shy and can be very mean when she wants to. She doesn’t have many friends, she doesn’t trust anyone. She can’t bring herself to love anyone, except her brother, Alec. They are twins. Alec is the only one she will ever trust, she tells herself. Their dad walked out on them and her mother didn’t take it well. She started to be abusive, mentally and physically. Her mother hasn’t said that she loved them since the night their dad walked out. That was seven years ago. Brier and Alec now being 17, are almost there. Almost 18. Almost free. That’s when they can get away from their mother and be happy. Brier doesn’t date. She is afraid to be hurt, like her mother was. She doesn’t want to end up like her mother. Heartless and violent. She doesn’t trust many guys and tries to keep her distance. Which isn’t easy because she is a beautiful blonde, green-eyed girl, with the perfect body, and glasses, who every guys tries to talk to. She ignores them, but they still try. Ignoring boys is easy, that is until Connor Moore showed up. He is incredibly attractive and basically rich. All the girls are already in love with him. Brier barely looks at him and he is intrigued by that. Most girls throw themselves at him, not that he’s complaining. Then he starts showing interest in Brier and she’s not sure if she should let him in or not. Should she take the risk? Can he save her from her mother’s fate or will he bring her there? Could he be her Superman?

breaking eye contact. He finally looks towards my shoulder and kisses my scar, from the beginning to the end. Each kiss giving me a shock. He sits back and looks at me. I get the most random thought. I really want to kiss him, not peck but really kiss him. I glance at his lips, then back to his eyes. We start to lean in and my heart starts to beat faster and faster. Our lips finally meet. I get a shock that goes through my whole body as he kisses me, slowly and passionately. He teases my tongue with his. We finally break apart for air. I looked at him and I realized I wanted more. I got on his lap and we started kissing again. This time a little more wanting but still passionately. I pushed him back on his bed. He flipped us over and got on top of me. We continued to kiss hungrily. I pulled his shirt up, got it off of him and I grabbed his back pulling him closer to me.

"Wait… wait"-He said pulling away a little

"Are you sure you want this now?"- Said looking at me straight in the eyes. He is right I’m not ready yet. I want to but I’m just not ready.

"You’re right. I mean I want to, believe me, but just not ready for that yet."- I look up at him to see if he is mad, but he’s not

He smiles "I know. I can wait. For you I’d wait forever. I want you to be really sure when we do because I don’t want to force you to do anything. And I don’t want you to regret it afterwards."

"Why would I regret it?"

"Because I don’t want you to think I took advantage of you."-He looks me in the eyes

"How many girls have you slept with?"- I have been think about this a lot. What if he has a done it a lot? And what if I’m not as good as the other girls?!

"68"

I guess he saw the horror in my face because he laughs "I’m just kidding. God I’m not that big of a jerk to just go around and sleep with everyone. Jees."

"Well how many?!" I look at him and he blushes and smiles shyly

"I… uh… haven’t…" He looks everywhere but at me. I grab his chin and I make him look at me.

"So you haven’t done it?"-I can’t keep the shock out of my voice

"Yeah…" He blushes even more

I can’t help but smile

"What?!"- He looks at me confused

"I am just surprised that Connor Conceded Moore is a virgin!" –I smile
