At last satisfied, the boy brushed his hands and began to peer into the distance. He turned in slow rotation, his eyes closed. A moment later his turning stopped, and his eyes opened, glued to a point on the horizon. A fresh smile came to his lips.

Without a backward glance the boy strode out of the clearing.
