union. “This is bad.” Jack said. “Why, it not like gram hasn’t met one of your girlfriends before.” Ash said. GIRLFREIND? “I’m goanna throw up.” I said. “Me too.” Jack said nodding. “Are you not his girlfriend.” Ash asked confused. There was that word again-girlfriend. “Could you please stop saying those words, I’m goanna be sick.”I answered. “Yeah me too.” Jack said looking nauseas. Chris smiled. “Are... You…Jack’s girl friend?” he said pronouncing each syllable. I narrowed my eyes. “You really want me to bring the light snake back, don’t you?” that shut him up. “What are you by the way? You never mentioned it.” Ash asked. “Do you want the truth or a lie?” I asked. “Lie” Jack said. “Truth” Ash, Chris, and John said. “Majority wins” I said out loud. “I’m a -.” I was cut off by a large scream.
“You!” an elderly woman spat yelling as she ran down the stairs. I stared at her blankly. “What are you doing here?” she asked me grabbing me by the shoulders. “Umm, I’m sorry, do I know you?” I asked still confused by this woman. “You may not know me but I know what you are!” Ahh, now it made sense. She must have sensed I was a siren. As I mentioned before Vampires and sirens do not mix well. In the present time we tolerate each other, but there are still those who believe that they are better than the other. I smiled and began to sing a slow sultry song that sounded like a cross between Greek and Latin. She covered her ears in terror. I stopped conforming my suspicion that she was a veteran of the war that took place a long time ago. The reason vampires and sirens hate each other is simply because of one thing- Power. Both sirens and vampires believed that they were the most powerful of species, they would often argue over the matter. Eventually a war started. The war ended because both species began to go extinct, because of it, so both sides came to an agreement to stop the war.
“Well it’s nice to meet someone from so long ago.” I said. I thought for a moment, A smile spread across my face, “I bet you knew my grandpa, he had green eyes, dark hair, he was extremely narcissistic and-” Jack had cut in. “Gram she has to stay here for a little while.” He said. She turned ghost white. “I will not allow that thing to stay with us.” She yelled. “What exactly is she?” Ash and Chris said at the same time. “I’m a siren.” I said. All three of Jack’s brothers looked at each other and then Ash said “Cool, I’ve always wanted to meet a siren.” “It is not c-o-o-l.” Said Jack’s grandma. She somehow managed to get a knife, and was now running at me with it, “It is disgusting.” I literally just stood there knowing what would happen next. When she was about three inches away someone broke down the door. I blinked at the sudden brightness. “Don’t you dare touch her!!” a voice rang. Jacks grandma disappeared. I sighed as Stacey, Cassey and Abby came through the door. “Ashley!” Stacey roared “You should have told what Jack was!” her perfect feature now all mixed with anger yelled. “Come on.” Cassey said quietly. “Ohh please it’s not that big of a deal.” Said Abby. From the corner of my eye I could see Chris and Ash were drooling-Probably over Stacey-but not John, he just looked normal. Strange, I thought. “Not a big deal,” Stacey exploded “She could have been hurt, of worse killed! Not to mention what he is!” She turned to Jack then she noticed Jacks brothers. It took her only a few seconds to process how they looked, “Wow, Vampires are hot.” She said. Ash and Chris just nodded in agreement(probably would agree with everything she said) but, John who probably who was the only one of the three who actually knew what she said, blushed. Stacey noticed this and turned her head to the side. She walked straight over to him and leaned in. His face got even redder.
“Umm, could you please move back a little?” John said, sounding like a little boy. Stacey’s , Casey’s, Abby’s and my eyes got wide. “HOLY-” Abby started “Mother of” Casey said. “God” I finished. Stacey had gone into panic mode, which was basically her not moving at all, while staring at everything blankly. Abby walked over to Stacey and said “Hey Stace are you all right?” Stacey just stood there. “Did I do something wrong?” John asked quietly. “No,” I said, “Stacey just isn’t used to boys not having a reaction to her. Speaking of boys reaction to Stacey I think we should wake Ash and Chris out of their little day dream.” Abby nodded then pinched Stacey hard on the shoulder. “Oww!” she yelled. “Well you were the one just standing there.” Abby said. Stacey rubbed her arm were Abby pinched her. “Sorry I was a little… shocked.”
“Wake them up.” Abby said nodding toward Ash and Chris. She nodded a smile spreading across her face. “To do that I’m goanna need to break their hearts.” She said. “I could just hit them.” I volunteered remembering how I broke Jack out of her spell. “That isn’t supposed to work, I’m supposed to be the only one able to break the out of my control, but for some reason you could do that on Jack.” Stacey said. Casey was avoiding all eye contact now for no apparent reason. “So how are you goanna break their hearts?” Asked Jack. I looked at him confused. “How come your not drooling over her?” I asked.
He shrugged, “Maybe it’s like chickenpox, you can only catch it once.” “Maybe.” I said. “I’m goanna have to kiss someone.” Said Stacey answering his question. Jacks eyes widened, “Well it not going to be me, and the only other guy who isn’t under your control and that is here is John.” Her smile grew bigger. Apparently she wanted to experiment with to see how long he could withstand her power. John who stepped out came back with a tray of drinks. “What am I going to have to do?” he asked confused setting the tray down and sitting on the giant white leather sofa. Stacey glided over to him and sat on his lap. I actually kind of felt kind of bad for him when he got all red and gulped. She put her arms around his shoulders. “You just have to sit down and relax.” She said leaning in. When her lips touched his I felt it immanently. Love. Not the hopeless crush that boy develop on Stacey, but actual love. I smiled. “Did you feel it?’ I murmured to Abby. She nodded with a softened expression. We turned to Casey “I felt as soon as we walked through the doors” she said guiltily. I smiled. “Well apparently Stacey felt it to considering she is still attached to John.” I said looking at Stacey sitting on John while he gently held her. When they broke apart John was blazing red, and Stacey had a dreamy look in her eye.
“Why is there a girl on top of John?” Ash asked coming out of the spell first. “And more importantly why isn’t there one on me?” Chris asked next. Surprisingly I wasn’t the one who smacked him, it was Casey. She was shaking in anger, her eyes were blood red. This caught Stacey’s attention, “Casey,” she said softly “You need to calm down.” She got off of red faced John and walked slowly towards her. Casey blinked for a moment then came back to reality. She blushed then turned to Chris, “I-I’m Sorry.” She ran behind Abby looking confused and lost. Chris said “God, are all siren abusive?” “Only if you really piss us off.” Casey said, she covered her mouth and turned even redder. “Okay? What the hell is going on?” I asked. Abby shrugged. “Vampires and sirens have weird effect on each other, this is probably just a side effect of us all being in this room.” she said. “And Stacey and John?” I asked with a smile. “That,” she said “That is just a miracle, apparently she can be loved.” Abby said. “Hey I’m right here.” She said her cheeks a little pink. “Are you blushing?” I asked. She got red. “Holy crap she is blushing.” Abby said smiling. “As much as I would like to talk about your Stacey’s skin tone,” Jack said sarcastically “I think we should tell them.” He said addressing me. “Tell us about what?” John, Ash, Chris, Abby, Casey, and Stacey all said together. I gulped.
