Tom was there and heard this conversation.
โI believe, you have talent and I like this โpaws offโ writing on that shirt,โ Tom said to me.
โI want to buy this for my wife. How much for this costume?โ Tom asked.
โFive lats!โ I replied.
โI will take this!โ Tom said.
I didnโt pay attention to him because he was like everyone else there-interested in hand made things.
I should have paid attention.
โI just canโt give all of those photos and her scarf to that guy. I donโt have heart to do it. I have exposed many politicians that take bribes, criminals, other bad guys. All those people that I have observed just were bad and deserved to to be exposed, but Rita is just student and nice person, she doesnโt deserve for her personal life to be revealed to some weird guy named Adam,โ Tom thought.
Tom wrote a note to me, gathered all pictures of me that he took and my scarf. He put all these items in box and left it on my doorstep on the next morning. Thatโs the morning Iโll never forget.
Today Adam called Tom again.
โWell, two weeks have passed, so what can you tell me about Rita?โ Adam asked Tom.
Rita is student at Latviaโs art academy, she likes comedy. Sheโs learning to become a designer, likes to hang out with my friends, but doesnโt have any social network profiles.
โWhy did you only sent me pictures of her hand made dresses and that costume? Didnโt you took any pictures of her?โ Adam asked.
Tom said: โThey were blurry because itโs hard to capture face when someoneโs on the move.โ
โWell, you can have her hand made costume. I will sell it to you for 10 lats. What do you say?โ
โI will pay much more to than 10 lats to reward you for information and her costume,โ Adam said.
โTomorrow I will send someone to pick up her costume and you will receive your payment. Thank you for this investigation!โ Adam said.
From now Iโll be more careful because I donโt know who may be watching what Iโm doing at this moment.
One December evening when I came home, I saw another box on my doorstep. There was a mobile phone in that box and a note.
Note said: โThis is my gift for you for Christmas. This phone is untraceable, you will need it, trust me.โ Signed: โYour friendโ
That was shocking.
