it too late to move???? Please tell me it isn’t too late to move…” is what my mind kept saying over and over again as I looked at him once again.

I honestly couldn’t do nothing else but just look at him through my evil eyes, but once again, he sent me a wink and smile his devilish smile. Then my parents then announced something that made me want to get the shovel out of the garage and start to dig my grave and have one of them stab me to literal death….. “Because his parents have to head back to their old house out of the state, he’s going to be staying with us for a few weeks”.

HOLD UP!!!!!! HIM??? NEIGHBOR???? STAYING AT OUR HOUSE??? WEEKS???? COULD THIS DAY GET ANY WORSE?!?!?!?!?!?!? I just wanted to instantly punch a wall or just drop dead…. inside my grave. I then went inside the house and I went straight upstairs to my room and locked my door. Honestly, I could say nothing. I couldn’t change a thing. I didn’t know what to do in that particular moment. I sat on my bed and I thought to myself: “Wow… not only does my dream boyfriend exist, but he is staying at my house for a few weeks...”. I then thought about how much my parents were going to be gone at work since they both work day and night shifts and that I was going to be around him more.

While I was in my thinking bubble, a little knock on my door interrupted my thought process. I yelled “Come in” and just as I suspected, the boy of my dreams walks through my door. We both looked at each other for about a minute and then I had enough courage to spill out my words. “Ok… So here are the ground rules for as long as you are here with us…Rule number 1) Don’t come in my room at anytime WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, Rule number 2) Don’t annoy me AT ANYTIME GIVEN, Rule number 3…..”

As I was getting ready to say the next rule, he walked up to me and sat down on my bed and gave me a pouty face. “Awwww damn…. First you meet (and now know) my parents, then you are staying at my house and now you’re giving me a pouty face… Give me a break, Sean!!!!” I then thought about how much he was going to try and invade my personal space and boundaries so I decided to drop the ground rules….. Except rule number 1. His face then changed from a pouty face to a smirk that said “Yes Maim” and he gave me a goofy salute and winked.

I couldn’t help but laugh and he smiled at me. It felt as if we were best friends for a good while…. Just like me and Nicole. We then made eye contact with each other and I couldn’t help but carefully but sweetly observe his deep, luxurious brown eyes. While I was staring in his eyes, he somehow slid his way closer to me. I then tried finding the right words to say but there were something about his eyes… his personality…. Him…. I just felt like I could stay like this all day with him. As soon as I knew it, his hand was caressing the side of my face and I was blushing. Just as his lips were getting ready to touch mine, my mom called me. I told him to come and follow me downstairs and he said “Ok”.

It turned out that my mom wanted the both of us to cook dinner and surprisingly, his face lit up with excitement as if he was a little kid that took a trip to the candy store. While we were cooking, it turned out that he learned so much from his father, who was a well known chef in his hometown. I was very astonished because he had me try a bit of spaghetti meat and he seasoned it perfectly.

After we finished cooking, Sean and I decided to eat upstairs while we watched a movie. He was telling me more about his past and special talents. Soon enough I fell asleep on him and while I was sleeping, I suddenly felt a kiss being planted on my forehead. It made not only my heart melt, but it made me think that I finally had the ability to fall in love with Sean. But the question is…. Are my feelings for him true? And if they are, Can I trust him enough with them?

Chapter 4-- Trust

The next day at school, I couldn’t help but think about me and Sean becoming closer than ever before while he was staying at my house. I also couldn’t help but think if he was thinking about me too at the moment. I then thought about how much my parents are going to be gone and how Sean was going to find many ways to get closer to me. But then I thought to myself… “Why would Sean fall for someone like me??? I know that there are other girls trying to hit on him but……” I then sighed in disbelief.

As I thought more about it, I suddenly forgot that I was walking and I stumbled on uneven concrete and just as I was getting ready to fall face first onto the concrete, I felt tight arms around my waist and hot breath up against my neck. A whisper then found its way to my ear that asked “Are you ok?” and when I straightened myself up, I turned around and there was Sean…. The same Sean that was in my dreams… the same Sean that I’m now in love with. We made eye contact and I couldn’t help but deeply and sweetly observe his dark, luxurious brown eyes.

While I was trying to say “Thank you”, I started to stutter and he laughed. I covered my face as if the most embarrassing thing happened to me and the whole world knows about it. He then walked up to me, still laughing as if he was trying to say “You’re welcome” and he hugged me. While I was hugging him, I felt as if this was the only form of comfort I’d ever get in a million of years….. As if I finally found that protector to keep me safe from harm. I then realized that we were still at school so I gently pulled away. We both looked at the ground and blushed. Suddenly the bell rung and it meant it was time for our last period. I’d told him that I would see him later and he said “Ok, cool” and we both went our separate ways.

When it was time to go home, I had to run to my locker so I could put some school stuff in it. As I was getting ready to head out the door, I bumped into Nicole… the same Nicole who sat there and let me get raped by a senior that I didn’t know…. The same Nicole who I thought was my best friend. She was the first to say “Hi” but I just looked at her up and down.

She then asked me “How’s Life, Sabrina?” as if she didn’t do a thing and I told her that I was doing very good without her. She then asked about how Sean and I were doing. Wait… how does she know about Sean? And we’re not dating…. Unless I wished we were… I told her that Sean and I were doing good and that we were just friends but she just looked at me up and down saying “Uh huh… I see you”. I told her that I had to go and she said “Ok, bye” and went on her merry way.

While I was walking home, my phone suddenly rings and when I look at my screen, I see a random 323 number which I thought that it was an important number but when I answer it and say my formal introduction, a familiar voice came from the other line. “How the hell did you get this number?!?!? I never gave it to you at all…” “Well… that day you fell asleep, I decided to look at your phone and I decided to play Blue’s Clues to find the number myself….. Besides, if I were to just ask you, you would’ve been very stubborn and uncooperative.” I pretended that he’d never said that last part and I reminded him about the boundaries that I’ve set for his stay. While I was talking to him, I then fell over another uneven piece of concrete and this time, there was no one here to catch my fall and I hit hands first on the concrete. Now the bad thing about it was that there was pieces of broken glass where I fell and one piece went inside the palm if my left hand. I screamed in agony for about 3 seconds and then got up and kept walking home.

When I got home, Sean was sitting in one of the patio chairs and when he saw me cringing in pain, he ran to me and I showed him the cuts on my hand and  how a piece of glass went into my left palm. We went inside and I grabbed the First-Aid kit and soon enough we were playing “Hand Operation”. I kept yelling and cursing at him because of how much pain that I was experiencing. He kept telling me to chill out and yet I kept yelling at him whatsoever. Suddenly he pulled out the peroxide and when he rubbed some on my hand, I was getting ready to scream but he covered my mouth with his hand and he pierced my eyes with his. I seemed like it was torture because every time that I looked onto his eyes, I would look away but I couldn’t right at the moment. Soon enough, I couldn’t feel any sense of pain and it felt as if there wasn’t anything in my palm anymore.

Then he put a pair of tweezers in my face and when I look closer, I noticed a small piece of green glass. Now that just proves that not only does his eyes hypnotize people but also the fact that I can truly trust him. “Thank you, Sean” “No problem… my mom was a nurse and she taught me first-aid procedures on scars and bruises” I then gave him a hug and I gave him a kiss on the cheek. When I saw his face, he looked as if he had been shot with one of cupid’s love arrows. I laughed for a minute and then I left the room to go start on my homework.

                       ***

The next day at school, Sean and I had many encounters through the halls. We would hug each other more so often and he always seemed happy.  When we got home, I told him that we needed to talk and we sat down on the couch. “Sean, I know it’s been a while since we know each other but I wanna talk to you about something”. Sean looked at me as if he was asking me
