hand into a fist, lowering it as well as her eyes.
She lifted her head just then, meeting my eyes with hers.
βIβm Thomas,β I said swallowing hard, with a nervous closed mouth smile. I was anxious past explanation now by her beauty.
She looked down at the wet grass, then to her right across the pond to where I was standing just minutes ago. I mimicked her movement and stared across the pond, looking at where I just was. She must have seen me gawking at her. She turned her delicate face up to me looking intently at me, as though she was seeing through my soul.
βIβm Anniha,β she slowly said in a voice that was no louder than a whisper.
Then she did something I hadnβt seen since I'd first laid eyes on her across the lake. She did something so far-fetched, so beyond beautiful that I swear it was almost fanciful.
She smiled. Imprint
