tell me?”
“I can only give you clues I’m merely the advisor, the go between, and you are pushing my patience.”
“Your pushing mine” Frank added.
“Well anyhow this experiment was conducted in the 60’s by a group of Russian scientists working in Czechoslovakia hidden away from the leaders of Russia to create a higher understanding.”
“Of what?”
“Of what we are. You see our brain is like a planet evolving round a sun, your sun is me your alter ego.”
“Yes, but you exist, I know I’m not scitzo, other people have seen you.”
“That’s correct but you’re missing the point.”
“What is the point?”
“The point is what if you are the impostor. What if you are not real? You are a memory implanted in the people’s brain of those who know you and somehow you’ve developed your own personality.”
“Don’t talk rubbish I’m flesh and bones.”
“Really so you won’t mind if I do this?”
“Do what?”
The blade went straight into Frank’s body, Frank screamed but felt no pain, and the knife had gone straight through him.
“You see memory adaptation requires skill and confusion. The whole point is for you to fulfil your purpose.”
“What is my purpose?”
“Hey Frank who are you talking to?” Gill asked
“What the…? Go away leave me alone.”
“I think you’re ill.” Gill said.
“I’m fine.”

“OK so go through this again.” The physiatrist said.
“Look just give me some pills and I’ll be fine.”
“Usually I’d admit you to hospital but considering you’re not a danger to the public and that your delusions are controlled I’ll monitor you.

Dom woke up.
“I’ve got it”
“Got what?” Laura asked.
“The meaning”
Dom was in hysterics.
“Calm down what do you mean?”
“It’s all in the book it explains it, I only wish I could explain it.”
“You can’t” James said in Oliver’s voice.
Suddenly James morphed into Oliver.
“You are a clever boy Dom, but you’re not meant to be here.”
“What’s going on?” Laura screamed
“Shut her up.”
Laura’s mouth suddenly zipped up with a zip
“I knew I could count on you.”
“You don’t scare me, you evil creature.”
“Evil, I’m not evil merely harsh and stern.”
“You see you were meant to be a character in Frank’s book, but the fool’s brain’s sub conscious understood, started to evolve, you see after writing himself into the real world he started to set free his imaginary people, memories which suddenly became living entities, Gill Laura and you are nothing more than Frank’s imagination.”
“I’m real.”
“Of course you are now, but what was your last memory can you remember your childhood.”
“No not very well.”
“That’s because you never were a child. You see I am the co-ordinator.
The year is 1960 and we are experimenting on memories. Frank was a memory of somebody but we found that this memory wasn’t actually a memory, it was a part of reality which hadn’t actually happened yet in 2005. This memory or post memory searched to find other memories from the future and developed characteristics of a writer and a man named Frank. It created itself into a living entity it then began adding other entities which began to create themselves to. Then it occurred to me the actual answer.”
“I know I understand. That we are all just memories and visions.” Dom butted in.
“No more than that. Every person in this universe is a figment of my imagination.” Oliver shouted.
“This is the only way.” Frank shouted.
“No you can’t.” Dom replied.
“Oliver has to die.”
Frank pulled the trigger of the gun and a bullet shot towards Oliver.
Oliver bent forward for a second blood pouring from his torso then shouted.
“You never understood.”
He collapsed.
Frank dropped the gun and froze he turned a pale white not knowing his fate.
Wait where was he? He was alone in pitch black.
“Hello” he shouted; nobody there.
He walked for miles and miles but there was nothing; no life, no light. Was he dead?

1960 Research lab.
“There’s been an accident.”
“Oliver’s dead.” A guard shouted.
“How come?”
“Oh my God that’s impossible.”
In the computer screen was a young male and he was coming out the screen. It was Dom. Laura and Gill had the same fate as Frank to be alone in the universe and didn’t understand they were the creators in their mini worlds. They would evolve he thought, but now it was Dom’s turn to play God
