However, since Eve was born a Vimp--which is a cross between a Vampire and an Imp--sooner or later those that created the demon that she was would come looking for her. Eve had always considered it a family joke when her father said that a vampire bat dropped her onto her fafther's lap fourteen years ago. Now it wasn't so funny.
Zormna Clendar was minding her own business while with 'friends' at her favorite eatery known as Sandi's when she happened to see the infamous Jafarr Zeldar pointing her out to presumed rebel cohorts. On instinct she apprehends him--but her lousy luck also draws in none other than the nasty Dural Korad of the People's Military--Zormna and Jafarr's least favorite human being.
Jafarr's fifteen birthday came with a surprise. His father has decided they need to leave Arras and go to Earth for their safety. They need to steal a ship from the Alpha District docking bay--which they have successfully done in the past. Problem is, Aver Zormna Clendar is on duty--and she is good at her job.
It is dangerous being the one kept out of a secret in a legacy of rebels--but the son of Jamenth Zeldar has found himself stuck in the middle of a military sting in an attempt to capture secret code. It is possible he won't survive.
