head and neck of one of the unsuspecting coyotes, removing him from the world almost instantly while the other’s scrambled like ants trying to pinpoint just where the exact location of my shot came from and how they could somehow find a way to flush me out. Before they could even come up with such a plan however, Aaron and Nala both let loose their own weapons and began laying down a borage of bullets that ended up striking one coyote twice in the face, multiple times in the chest, and another two with a dead on shot between the eyes before pausing for a quick reload. After the last two coyotes were finally dealt with, we made our way back down the stairs and through the front door back outside to our car where we then saw just what our entire purpose for coming here was in the first place. There, slowly stepping out of the driver’s seat of a black old timey Buick was the limey guest of honor herself in all her sinister glory, Judy Copeland.

Chapter Four

We tailed Copeland when we were out of sight to a local bar in the Jessup area called β€œWoody’s and silently ditched the car in the lot of the nearby gas station and made our way inside through the front entrance where we just as planned, found our catch over with a couple of her coyote lackeys seated on a sofa in the corner and slowly approached them as they all stared coldly up at us with a blatant surge of venom and distaste glazing in all of their piercing eyes. Copeland smirked sadistically and let out a bit of a maniacal chuckle before saying in a bone chilling tone, β€œAnd now it starts. The three grim have come to join us for a little happy hour. Can I offer you guys some food, some meat perhaps.” β€œIt’s over, Judy.” I growled. β€œYou took someone more than dear to us who put his life on the line every day after a stint of hard work to put an end to backstabbing bitch-made cowards like you who run these streets day by day like you own them. It’s time to answer for your sins.” β€œOh. Now you really don’t wanna go there, sweetheart.” She said, slowly losing the grin. β€œI’m gonna be now and ask you kindly to walk out of my bar or my boys here are just going to have to remove you by force.” The two coyotes slowly stepped forward, baring their teeth and glaring at us hard with their fists punching the palms of their free paws in an aggressive and taunting manner. I stood my ground, intrepid of their failed attempts to drive us off and snarled back, β€œNo. The choice is yours. Either you can give up now or either one of us three can make you surrender. You wanna see what holding a vendetta really feels like?” Copeland growled ferociously and charged forward so fast that before I could even think about planning to react, I was swept off my feet and on my back on the floor with the snarling lioness delivering two right hooks directly to my face and muzzle before I blocked the third with my paw and sent a powerful uppercut to her chin, knocking her clean off and allowing me just enough time to return to my feet and counter with a strong hook of my own to the left of her muzzle, then her right, and then I brought my two fists together down hard on the back of her neck, knocking her out cold just as Aaron and Nala finished off the two coyotes and slowly turned to me. I drew my berretta and took aim just as she slowly opened her crimson red eyes and groggily began to speak. β€œPlease… tell young Kiri… I’m s-… I’m sorry.” Without even thinking twice, I let the anger boiling up in my system get the best of me and fired round after round into the head and face of the old lioness until I could no more and changed magazines with a heavy and hard sigh. The known mistress of death and corruption was finally desecrated and sunken to rise no more but now the only hard part was giving a certain someone the last bit of news.
