let out a deep breath. Every time I enter this place I hope that next time I walk out ill have Dylan by my side, but every time I walk out I leave alone. I took a deep breath going through the doors. I walked down the hall, and the nurse looked up from her desk, and she gave me a warm smile.
β€œ Hello Galaxy, how are you feeling today?” She asked.
β€œ Im okay, how are you?” I asked back trying to smile.
β€œ I’ve been good,” She smiled. I nodded my head, and made my way towards Dylan room. I slowly opened the door, and stepped in, and felt my heart break like it does every time.
β€œ Hey Dylan,” I muttered. The same response every time. Nothing. I walked in shutting the door behind me, and I sat down on the chair next to the bed, and took his hand in mine, and looked at his still body. β€œ So, I’m moving back in today… Rickey and Ben are really going to miss me, but the guys are happy….” I stopped, and felt tears in my eyes. β€œ I…” I stopped again, and tears started to flow down my cheeks. β€œ I don’t want to walk out of this hospital again alone… I don’t think I can do it,” I cried tears falling down my cheeks. I put my head down on the bed sobs escaping my lips. I sat there for about three hours just talking, and I would just sit there and hold his hand. I looked at the clock and it read eight. The nurse will be coming in here telling me visiting hours are over. they are usually over at seven, but she always lets me stay an extra hour. I heard the door opening.
β€œ Hey Hun, its eight,” She said.
β€œ I know,” I whispered. she nodded her head and walked out closing the door behind her. I sat up, and still had my hand in his. I bent down pressing my lips against his forward, and let go of his hand. It fell onto the bed still and stayed there. I let out a breath, and wiped my tears away. β€œ I love you,” I whispered and I turned around and made my way out the room, and each step I took felt like I had bricks on my feet. I stopped at the exit doors, and took a deep breath, and when I walked out I felt the airs sucked out of my lungs, and tears fell down my cheeks. I bit my lip, and I felt rain hit the top of my head, and I tilted my head up looking at the sky, and water fell onto my face. I walked by the bus stop and sat in the little glass thing they have. I put my hands on my knees trying to stop shaking. The bus rolled up, and I slowly sat up walking towards the bus. The doors opened, and I walked up the steps, and walked towards the back of the bus sitting down, and looked out the back window at the hospital. The bus roared to life, and went down the street. The hospital slowly disappeared in the view and tears fell down my cheeks.
β€œ how many more times do I have to walk out alone?” I whispered.
