and deleted half of it! Anyways! Hope you enjoyed the chapter ~Lana) Chapter Four

(A/N: Sorry for the HUGE HUGE delay on chapters!! Been extremely busy with other things and I've just had no motivation whatsoever to write. I'm back though! Hope you enjoy this chapter, I'm a little rusty now but I hope it's good. -Erin)As they were walking back towards the hotel, Erin couldn't help but glance over her shoulder or tense up whenever a twig snapped or a stone was kicked away. She had the intense feeling that they were being followed, but she didn't say anything to Lana in case they could hear but she did walk close to her in case they were suddenly attacked.

The feeling got less intense the closer to the hotel they got and Erin allowed herself to relax a little before glancing at Lana. She knew Lana was angry. Maybe a little scared but she would never show that. Lana was the type of person to never show any emotion for fear of looking weak.. And ever since she was diagnosed with bipolar, people treated her differently and whenever she was super happy or excited, they would tell her she needs to calm down or take her pills. So she became emotionless.

Erin sighed, she knew she should ask her about what those two people were talking about but she also knew that Lana needed time to think. Lana glanced back at her, biting her lip and looking like she wanted to say something, but she stayed silent instead. They both made their way through the gate to the hotel, walking quickly towards the stairs so they could get inside.

Erin stiffened as the feeling of being followed returned and she looked behind them with a small growl catching in her throat. Lana saw this and stopped walking, she turned around to try and see what Erin was looking at "what is it?" She asked unsure and Erin simply shook her head in reply. "I-I thought... I thought someone was following us.." Lana stiffened "let's go inside. Now" she said and backed towards the stairs, waiting for Erin to follow.

Erin turned around and started jogging up the stairs with Lana, eager to get inside so all of this would go away.Lana and Erin had come to this town searching for a way to fit in, to have at least a PARTIALLY normal life. But it seems that complications follow them everywhere.  They made their way up the stairs and through the doors, Erin nodded to the registration lady as they passed by and quickly went up another set of stairs, ignoring the elevator. Erin shivered, she hated being trapped or locked, unable to get out... She shook her head to clear those thoughts and looked at Lana again, she seemed worried.

Once they were up the stairs, they made their way down the hall to their room and Lana opened the door first, poking her head in, she nodded that it was clear and they both entered. Sighing, Erin fell into one of the chairs and rubbed her head. This was all too confusing. Who the hell were those people? What were they talking about? What is this watch? She sighed again and looked up at Lana who was sat on her bed looking out the window. "Lana, where's the stupid watch so we can get this done..." she said tired and expectant.

Lana didn't acknowledge her for a while. Staring out the window before she sighed and got up. "I'll go get it now" she went into the bathroom to get the watch she stole out of a special box she hid  behind the piping in the sink cabinet. As soon as her fingers closed around the box, she paused. What if.... She just kept it? She could trick them and give them a different watch, she has one almost exactly like it. They would never notice.. There's something... Special about this watch, she felt it earlier, and not to mention it was probably worth hundreds!Erin paced the room as she waited for Lana to come back in with the watch, what was taking her so long? Erin sighed in impatience. "Lana? Hurry up!" She sat back down in the chair and chewed her lip. They said we need to return it tomorrow at sundown... I guess that made sense. One of them was an extremely tall faceless man with tentacles and wearing a suit and the other was a black and white clown with claws, sharp teeth and feathers...

Although they didn't seem to have a problem appearing in the middle of the day and brutally murdering half a town of people. After this, her and Lana would probably need to leave town. They probably would've been witnessed leaving the carnival just before the police arrived. Worry filled Erin's stomach. Are the police looking for them? It's a good thing they put themselves under fake names at the hotel but that's just what the police will be looking for. Finally Lana emerged from the bathroom carrying a small music box which she assumed had the watch in it. Erin stood up and reaches out to take it but Lana snatched it back "I will hold onto it until tomorrow evening" she said in a low voice.

Erin frowned and looked at her carefully. Um.... What? That was not like her. She crossed her arms over and narrowed her eyes but gave a faint nod. Lana put the box down carefully on the one nightstand and then sat back on the bed. "This thing must be really special huh.... "Erin tilted her head as she thought about it then shrugged.  "Probably some supernatural bullsh*t... Maybe it... Makes you immortal" she said with a sarcastic tone then started tapping her foot on the ground.

Lana looked at her and knew she was nervous about something. "What is it? Do you sense someone again?" she asked and glanced out the window. "No" Erin replied and shook her head "I was just thinking. The police will probably be looking for us right? someone was bound to have seen us leaving the carnival...". Lana nods in agreement and stands up "we probably need to leave...." She grabs the box and slips it into her backpack without thinking and then looks around the room.

They never brought much with them or unpacked anything in case they had to leave quickly and they were always prepared. Erin sighed and grabbed her bag as well and then reached under the other bed to grab the small knife she always kept under there. Lana didn't need to keep a weapon under her bed since her powers were all she needed. "But where will we go? We can't go far because we need to return the watch but if we don't leave,  the police might find us" Lana nodded in agreement "I know where to go"
