The use of an over-theme is difficult to describe, but this is the method God used in these six chapters. The admonition to come boldly to the throne of Grace assumes some things. It assumes many grace engendered aspects have already occurred in the life of the respondent. (One such assumption is that Grace has done its work in the heart of the approacher, in the form of redemption and gifting through the Holy Spirit.) The invitation to come boldly is given to enable a person to come to the source of Grace and find even more.

Nothing changes a ministry so much as a Sovereign Act of God, whether it is a revival, a miracle or a voice from heaven. Such experiences affect the person greatly. For instance, this one was an affirmation of Isaiah's life and ministry.

This study is about the church at Ephesus. Because this church was so intimately considered in Paul's travels and because it occupies more than nineteen separate passages in the New Testament, it stands out in importance.
