The call

The lock

The I kicked my shoe against the desked hard, detective work was very frustrating. I was tired of being one step behind the killer. Enough was enough.

I was thinking of quitting but then my phone rang, I answered my phone, it was my boss he sounded very angry as he spoke

β€œ I told you Jane to try and catch him or get some kind of clue and if you don’t have anything in 24 hours you will be dead or fired.”

β€˜Great’ I thought, Jane was my code name, it was only three weeks ago when I first got a mysterious call from my boss when he had spoken, his voice had sound cold and dry, he had given me a job to do, he didn’t say why or when all he said was: you are now recruited to do a job for me and I will keep telling you information, There will be a meeting tonight please come. My boss was a tall skinny, he had brown messy hair always no matter how hard he tried to flatten it, you could not tell what he was feeling. My life or job was on the line and if I didn’t find anything out soon I would be dead and fired from my job.

the lockttet

I left my office and walked onto the street, I turned the corner down a dark alleyway, ahead of me I spotted a white piece of paper on the ground, the sun was shining down on it, making it sparkle in the sunlight.

I picked it and the paper seemed like it had been folded and unfolded many times, so I unfolded the piece of paper it said:

Hi, I will be long gone by the time you read this, people might die every where if you don’t read this letter, just so you know here is an address: 13 death Avenue, just so you know where I live

yours sincerely the Killer

ps: hope you find the lock this locket will help you.

β€˜so this paper will help me find the killer and if I did will it be before sunset?’ I thought. As I thought this I felt a sharp splitting pain on the back of my head, I heard a bang behind me, I spun around so fast that I felt dizzy, I saw a gold shiny thing gleaming on the ground in front of me, I picked the gold thing up, I looked up at the window I just saw a small hand disappear back into the window, I looked back down at the thing I was holding, as I lifted it in the moonlight to get a better look I saw it was a locket that was described in the letter.

my boss

I walked forwards out into the scary silent street, I turned right to go to his office. All I heard was myself shuffling my feet and the aca gal hoot of an owl. When I got to his office I felt a bit light headed because I had finally got a clue, I staged in through the door and collapsed into my office chair behind my old wooden desk which was stained with previous ink spills from reports.

The next morning I was woken up by my phone my boss was calling me, his boss said:

β€œso have you managed to get a clue or know where he or she whereabouts?”

β€œum....well I found a clue” I stammered

β€œWell I think there will be another meeting and it will be in your office tomorrow.”

and with that he hung up, β€˜wow he in my office tomorrow’ I thought, so I walked over to the cupboards and pulled the left one open and saw my reflection staring back at me I was a skinny tall girl, I have browny blonde hair, blue eyes and i'm a detective.

The meting

I woke up when I heard a konck on my door, I was still in my office
