Maka takes a step back to see her attacks next move.The keshin was taking a second to catch his breathe.Maka realizing she dosent have soul to help her she would have to do this on her own.The keshin lunges forward and aims for her head but she side steps and dodges and readies her own attack.She doesn't yet know how to use her soul wavelength directly,she could at least try.She rans forward and tries her hardest to bring her wavelenth to a direct attack,she hits the kishin in the stomach.It doesnt so much as flinch.It pounces on her and is ready to finish her off.The kishin goes to finish her off by slamming his claw into her chest,but at that moment soul jumps out of nowhere and cuts it's arm then lands a hit on the kishins head."You need me to much"soul said with a teasing smile."Well maybe if you would just come with me maybe I wouldn't need you to save me"Maka said as she got up."Well that's the 1st soul of the 99 we need."Maka said as she dusted herself off."every time I have one soul I just need another."soul said grabbing the kishin egg."You know maybe if you actually trained you could have more kishin eggs"Maka said walking over to him.Soul raises the soul before He ate it because the two heard a woman scream."HELP WERE BEING ATTACKED BY SOME SORT OF...THING"."Soul..."."I know"soul said as he changed to a scythe.

Soul and black star stood ready to for it,when Maka and tsuabki and ran up to late to stop it.Right before anyone moved it started."Are you ready for this?"black star said over confident.Soul was being serious as he could,waiting for the response."I'm ready but the real question is can you stop me?"Dont do it!"Maka yelled."It's to late to back out now"."Don't worry we arent going to right soul?","Right".Soul ran and jumped straight up I'm the air and turned to a scythe sifting his weight forward.Black star came running reading his signature soul wavlength direct attack.Soul and black star both kinected but as soon as they did they were sent flying."You don't really think you can beat someone with perfect symmetrical balance ...did you?"death the kid said smirking."You guys try everyday but you have NEVER made him even take a step back once." Maka said trying to get them from hurting themselves like they usually do over pointless things."You need us to have full stength you guys"tsuabki said irritated.Dr.Stein came from out the school,he watched their attacks be completely ineffective against kid."Have you guys tried working together instead of training by attacking each other,you're soul resonance need work.Not individual partener and partner you Need you're team resonance together,it will make you twice as strong." Dr.Stein said trying to prepare them for the invetible foe they could not defeat alone.

After all the students returned maka's father spirit comes and whispers something to stein and walks to Tsubaki,black star,Maka,and soul."Lord Death wants to see you in his office,and also Maka I your father so can we spend more time togethor?Spirit asked desperately."To even go with you somewhere with you would make me wonder if you're waiting for a date."Maka said angered her father cheated on her mother.Spirit walked away sad and disappointed."Maka you should cut him some slack,ya he cheated on your mom but now he knows what he did was terrible and he's trying his hardest to make it better,it's not cool to push him away when he just wants you happy."Soul said trying to see if she could try."I know ...it's just not easy..."Maka said looking down trying to forget her troubled past."We need to see lord death anyways so let's go."Tsubaki said trying to change the subject."Hey soul wanna race?"Black star asked."I'll take you on.""I'm to big a star to lose so you don't have a chance I'll be at lord deaths room before you even know I start...e..d..."Black star mumbled as he realized soul Maka and tsuabki were gone while he was gloating."We are sending you to train with stein for 2 weeks"Lord Death said."But Lord Death why do we need to train for two whole weeks?
