THE DAY

that my father died was, excuse my french, a shitty one. Every single day for the past four months since he was gunned down, I've had dreams that I was in his shoes that night, and I felt the tickling pain for less than a microsecond as the dream-bullet entered my skull and came out the back. Once the dream was done, I would be up in a cold sweat almost instantly with a new sorrow for his passing. Honestly, it wasn't too fun. The day after, almost everyone at school had heard about it--Unfortunately, that included Timothy Griggs, the school bully, and his complete bitch of a girlfriend, Natalie Dominitra, who just so happened to also be not only one of the most popular girls in the school, but was also the cheer team captain and the ring leader in the popular kids crowd. If I were to get into "The Crowd", I would have to have a complete change of face, mentally and physically, what with my tall, lanky features and nonexistent tan. OK, now i'm getting a bit off topic. Anyways, everyone looked at me all day with sympathy, except the popular kids, who pretty much just cracked jokes about my dad's demise all day. Now, I can throw punches that break thick wood (MANY splinters, not fun) but I wasn't going to just hit one of them, because Timothy Griggs's fat mammoth ass was always either in my way, or playing bodyguard. Tim was a kid you REALLY did not want to mess with. Built like a brick wall and larger than a war elephant, he was the kind of person that, well... you know. And you know, that was also a pretty shit day. But it didn't compare to the day before.
