One pleasant morning, as the amber sun rose in the turquoise sky, the mighty Zeus, king of gods, sat in his golden throne made out of lightning bolts and looked down upon his three daughters, the beautiful Cheritonus, whose short, gold hair shimmered in the morning sunshine; the cheeky Foulicus, her emerald green eyes glimmering; and sensible Turnericus, the eldest and wisest sister.
"My beloved daughters, the time has come for you to receive your full names as true goddesses. Cheritonus, you shall be known as not just average Cheritonus, but as goddess of laughter. Turnericus, you are wise, so I shall make you goddess of turmoil. You must use your new power wisely. Foulicus, you shall be-" Zeus was cut off by Foulicus screaming in outrage.
"How could you do this, Father? You know that all three of us wanted to be goddess of laughter! All the hard work I did, hoping to become goddess of laughter, all those good deeds, all for nothing! Well, I'm sick and tired of good. I swear that I shall never do anything kind or loving again! I will become goddess of feindishness and foul play!" As Foulicus stomped out of the beautiful palace of the gods, she heard Turnericus calling her.
"Sister, wait!" Foulicus stopped and came face to face with Turnericus, "I too wanted to become goddess of laughter. I too am furious. Let us work together to capture Cheritonus." And together, the two sisters plotted...
"Forward march!" The blazing ball of fire, otherwise known as the sun, was sinking in the late afternoon sky, turning the dull, grey, clouds shades of baby pink and peachy orange, and made the grand fort of Mohabis look bright magenta whilst the soldiers training in it looked the colour of flames.
"Ugh! I think I'm going to die
of exaustion!" The private, Parsonicus, said to his friend, "I can't wait for the twilight campfire!"
"Me too. At least it's nearly night." His friend agreed, "It can't be too long till the twilight campfire."
And sure enough, soon all the young soldiers were seated around a small campfire, looking at the oldest and wisest general in the army.
