The reaping
It was a cloudy and very sad day for everyone. It was the day of the reaping. My best friend dale was with me that morning. We were out in the woods. My mother taught me how to hunt and my father taught me how to bake. My parents love eachother. My mother once told me that she met my father one day when she was young. She said that she was trying to sell my aunt prims baby clothes. My aunt sadly passed away when she was twelve. Well any way it was raining that day and my mother was out there trying to fiind food for my aunt prim and my grandma and herself. My father was a baker and and his father owned a bakery. He burned swome bread his mother beat him and then my mother saw. By then they did not speak to eachother. After that my father saw my mother and threw the burned bread to her so she and her family could eat it. The next time they actually talked was in the 74th annual hunger games. And, they were chosen. Actually my aunt was chosen and my mother took her place. Then they took them to the capitol for interviews and training. The day of the most important interview my father declared love for my mother. My mother was very shocked and then they went in the arena. They went their separate ways and did not interfere eachother. Next my mother became allies with a twelve year old named rue from district eleven. Then my mother lost her friend when a boy from another district killed her. Then they made an announcement that two victors from the same district could live. My mother went looking for my father peeta mellark. When she found him she pretended to be in love with him to get sponsers for the games. Then after that she actually started feeling something for him. They won the first hunger games and were crowned victors. The next hunger games the victors form the past games were to go in again. My mother was in then their mento haymitch was chosen but my father took his place. They went in the next hunger games and my father hit a forcefeild and he died. My mother did anything she could. She yelled his name, she slapped him so he could come back to her and then a guy named finnick odare revived him by giving him mouth to mouth. My mother screamed and yelled she cried and then that’s when she knew she actually loved him. Then they took my father prisoner and my mother was worried. When she found out that he got hijacked and was told mean things of her he wanted to kill her. He then went to battle with her and then when he was getting attacked by the memories he said. . β€œkatniss go leave. If you don’t ill turn mad like them like the mutts.” Then y mother didn’t know what to do. So she leaned in and kissed him. She said, β€œdon’t let him take you from me. Comeon petta stay with me.” Then he murmured β€œalways” and he stayed in control. At the end they went back to district twelve then they grew closer together and one day when they were in my mother house he said, β€œyou love me real or not real?” and she said, β€œreal.” After 5 or ten years my father convinced her to have kids so they had me and david. My father was very happy. The morning of my reaping was very much alike but now some one from the crowd had to pick the names. I was wondering who was going to be chosen. Then ii hear it my name was called my mother was very preoccupied and my father was too. Then I heard the name of the boy who was called I couldn’t believe it it cant be him I told myself. Then I heard the name all over in my head. The name was josh the boy whoo I once talked to for a very weird circumstance we were very young. It was a very hot day we were in the sun and I was so thirsty. Nobody came to pick me up from school that day so he offered to give me a ride home. I accepted and he knew I was thirsty because he gave me his bottle of water. I kept on thinking to my self no why him and then they made us shake hands. When my family came to say good bye I cried and so did my parents. Then we left to the capitol.
