Lira stepped one foot into the cage, the humans forced her in all the way. She hid in the corner of the cage hoping this was just a bad dream. Soon they raised the cage through an elevator. She looked over her pure white scales coated with dirt. She tried to shake of dirt but to little extent. The cage stopped at a large room filled with more dragons few that looked her age some older. Most of them covered in scars. And a few had parts of their body missing. Shivers flew down her spine. The humans pushed her cage into an open space between a cage and the wall and left. "Hey" a voice called "Hey you " it called again. Lira looked into the cage on her right a pair of bright green eyes stared at her. "Whats your name" it said. "L-Lira..." she stuttered frozen with fear. It stepped out of the shadow. It turned out to be a she. She was long slender, her smooth scales a pale blue with a purple tint, her wings had a few small rips, and one scar on her cheek. "My name is Taya" she timidly stepped over to the wall of the cage and sat. "How old are you" lira asked.

"13 but you look younger how old are you " Taya asked curving her talon around Lira's cheek. Then placing it back under herself to keep balance. "I'm ten"

"Ten really, you ARE young"

"Ya tell me about and I thought I had to be twelve and over to be in the arena."

"No you can be entered at any age just most are taken a twelve that is where they are just training usually"
Lira shuffled her feet. "Have you ever... you know competed in the arena..." Lira asked "Me no" Taya snickered. "This-" she pointed at her scar "Is from training me and another female got in a fight she got me hard..." she turned her head. Lira curled her tail around her feet. "Just don't piss off anybody" She laughed and crawled back into her dark corner. Lira layed over in the corner and shivered. "Taya..." Lira whispered. Taya's bright green eyes appeared again "Yes..." she said "C-can we be friends..." there was a long pause between the two. "Maybe...." Taya hissed and closed her eyes. Lira felt uncomfortable with that answer. Lira used her wings to keep herself warm. Through out the night she blew small flames to warm herself.

The next day Lira looked over into Taya's cage. Taya sat her eyes glowing her pupils narrow. "Sit up" she hissed. "What" Lira was confused. "Sit up just listen to me!" she hissed harshly. Lira scrambled to her feet. Humans walked down the rows of cage. Taking a few and waking others by smacking the cage. A human came by and grabbed Lira's and Taya's cages. "Where are they taking us?" Lira whimpered. "Shh!" Taya silenced her. Lira hid her head. They were lowered through an elevator to a large cave filled with dragons training. Taya and Lira were put into another cage. They then were put onto a cart. As they were pushed through the cavern Lira looked at all the young ones training. Some dragons dodging torches others escaping traps. They took them to a table that connected to a cage maze. The human hooked their cages to the entrance and open the cages up. Taya ran out. Lira slowly made out to. Once in, a human blocked the entrance. Lira crept her way into the maze. It was very windy and every once and a while she found a stain of blood or two. Lira was cold and tired. She stopped and leaned against on of the walls. Soon a scrambling noise came from around the corner. Lira froze. "H-Hello..." she stuttered and stood up. No answer just more noise. "H-Hello..." she said again. She began to look around the corner. She saw Taya tangled in some wire. "Taya!" Lira exclaimed. "Stay back" Taya hissed pulling her wing out of the tangled mess."But"
"Stay back Don't show your weakness" she growled pulling out the other wing. Lira backed up horrified "Then what do I do" she asked.
"Find your way out of the maze" she growled. Lira ran down another hall. She rand won another. It looked the same as the first. As she ran down more the didn't look any different. "Taya! Taya!" she shrieked. A snarl rose from behind her. She turned around. "Oh no...."
