Although they were no match for the full powered twin headed demon, the Venzecan warriors were not there to be fodderized. Many avoided fatal injuries by using ancient body enhancing techniques. Their individual strengths were excellent, and their teamwork impeccable. The attacker launching the offensive is swiftly switched out with a defender; ready to absorb the oncoming counter attack. Although against a demon of this stature, their brave resistance and dedication to battle tactics only lasted a few moments; onyxin and obsidin were both useless against the combined strength of the ferocious combined duo. When one wave retreats or are downed, another charges from the craters edge - amongst the cover-fire of a spear shower. The majority aimed at Torromilz, bounce off his metal hard strands of fur. With a shake of its monstrous overcharged body, the demon repels the inbound spears.
Meanwhile, Kumi hops, skips and jumps for his life, as he dodges both spears aimed for and deflected at him, while also avoiding Tarromilz attacks; while the body and a head of the demon dealt with warriors, the second relentlessly sent blasts at the knight.
Chieftain Asra had a keen mind for battle, layering the attack to keep the pressure on. Smartly putting all unskilled fighters at the back of the formation; novice squads lead by a single Rora Zulon. The middle band and vanguard consisted of purely the strongest warriors.
High up, in one of the few trees standing in the battle rummaged landscape, Chieftain Asra is almost ready. She has given herself the most crucial task, ending the threats with a final precise strike. Radiating a pure glow, and dressed in traditional Venzecan combat gear. The white, loose fitting, all in one suit of the Chieftain flows gently in the wind. Her attire is enhanced with relics of ancient power; Quinaโs bracelets - golden bangles with powerful gems embedded in the wrist guards; blessed with enchantments which were passed down from leader to leader since the times of Qush. With one hand on the fire crystal blade on her hip, the Chieftainโs black locks flow in the wind - wrapping around the black boalifera wooden glaive strapped to her back.
Watching the battle intently, along with her strike squad, they prepare for their major offensive against the nation ending threats. Deep in thought, the Chieftain stands precariously on the end of the branch, she watches the distant battle from the highest point possible - while her twelve strong platoon dangle below, focusing their kirah. They all wear a similar uniform to the Chieftain, but far less relic endowed. Dressed in lightweight black combat suits, each carry elementally enhanced boalifera swords at their hips. While the light of the eve day suns illuminates her dark purple skin, slowly a light smoke materializes.
The mist twists and flows, growing as it creeps through the air. Wafting through the tree top, the smoke builds to a dense fog quickly, surrounding the troop. Then suddenly, it expands, forming a swift moving tornado of cloud around the tree top.
In an implosion like instance, the smoke gathers to one spot - right in front of the Chieftain - before her guards can react, a solid figure takes form.
โPull your people outโ, says a cool, calm voice, the God of Smoke, Noobar.
He appears sitting casually on the branch before the Chieftain - draped in a dusty grey robe of smoke - skin exuding a holy glow. He takes a quick glance up at her, before gazing back at the raging battle. Chieftain Asra raises a hand, signalling for her guards to stop their aggressive approach; they continue their preparations - keeping watch from much closer. The Chieftain immediately recognised the essence of godhood within Noobar's being, not that he was trying to hide his godly vigour, but those with proficient perception can tell the difference between a God and a Demon; the colour and intensity of their kirah is always a tell, demons generally carry a heavier, depressing aura.
โYou are all invaders and your lives were forfeit the moment you step onto this islandโ, replied Chieftain Asra, sternly.
โWe are from the Pantheon, and here to help, pull out so weโฆโ. Noobar stops mid sentence, then turns - watching Asra closely.
The air around her is moving wickedly. Back straighter than an arrow, hands clasped tightly together, the light of a golden mantra ignites in her eyes. She was preparing to attack.
โWe did not invite either of you here, Pantheon?! Gods, demons, invaders, all must die, our people will never be persecuted again, we are strong!โ, shouted Chieftain Asra, unclasping her hands, she raises a fist, giving the signal.
Without hesitation her elite entourage, fly down the tree trunk, running directly at the ground. Their light rapid footsteps, barely touching the brown tree trunk on their descent. Each initiating a mantra infused with kirah, their internal energy, the eternal energy of all life. By the time the squad reach the floor, a rainbow of effervescence colour had burst forth from each one. They continue at an insane pace, streaking towards battle - leaving a multicoloured trail behind them.
โI know you in the south do not want any help from the Pantheon, but those demons are strong. Your people are going to die. We have been hunting them, you should...โ.
โHmm... You should have done your job, Pantheon. Don't get in our wayโ, stated Asra, before leaping over Noobar and towards the ground. โIf you are still her when I return, you will be nextโ. Twirling in the air she catches a draft; gliding atop the wind, she mirrors the path of her ground racing troop.
โThat was rude... Are we just waiting again?โ, hissed Fuego, appearing on a branch above Noobar.
โYou have no curiosity in you, do you?โ, replied Noobar.
โEh, what now?โ, fumed Fuego.
โLook. Pheenome's, a whole island of them. Right now that head warrior is summoning godly power, let's watchโ, Noobar turns to watch what will happen next. โ... Get in position, be ready to activate your heat roomโ, he added.
โHeat room?! My lucky day, but why the brute force? Eh, Sir. Finesseโ, said Fuego sarcastically.
โTarromilz is bad news, and that purple pheenome is a menaceโ, said Noobar, looking at the rainbow created by the combined souls as the glide towards their doom. โThat will not be enoughโ.
โCould have told you thatโ.
The every move of the Venzecan's ultimate attack had been organized by the Chieftain and implemented to near perfection. The violent invaders continued their fight amongst waves of Venzecan attacks as the strategic use of the emerald spear shower manoeuvred Kumi and Tarromilz; limiting their movements to the crater area. With their targets in place, the Venzecan vanguard made for a hasty retreat. Leaving a group of elite Rora Zulon's hidden and the elite entourage racing towards the unsuspecting Kumi and Tarromilz - the individual colours of their mantra becoming one mass of deep dark black energy, with flickers of green lightning fizzling around them; streaking behind and highlighting their advance.
Kumi continued to dodge the life ending swipes of the super demon, while trying to slow him through the use explosive pulse shots from his glockul - each are deflected by the demons aura; the pressure of the kirah had multiplied rapidly since their transformation.
โHere they comeโ.
โGood, I am going use the beastโ.
With his Denaar's warning, Kumi purposefully placed Tarromilz between himself and the on rushing attack. Kumi was well aware that he and his prey had been placed into a killing field, his Denaar had let him know the moment the Chieftain ignited her mantra, but he decided to allow the trap to spring. Kumi had a sadistic belief that the best time to ruin an ambush is once the surprise has been sprung - he dodged and bade his time in hope of using that crucial moment to launch a fatal counter attack; sweetly killing the foul demons and whoever else dares to interfere in his fun.
Finally, the last step of the Chieftain's plan was about to be enacted, her entourage had made it to the edge of the crater and down the sides to striking distance of the targets in a second, rapidly picking up speed. In the sky above all parties was Asra, her soul burning so bright she turned dusk to day, the light was blinding. Kumi, the demons, and everyone in the vicinity, had their vision replaced with white walls; apart from her troop and the hidden Zulon. Gracefully she swished her hands back and forth, with her motions, the racing entourage energy ignited further, becoming a second beacon of pure white light. The charging mass of light now mirrored the Chieftain's in brightness. In an instance the space from the sky high Asra to her floor roaming squad became a laser pillar of soul sapping pressure. Like a thief caught in the act, Kumi and demons were caught flat footed; blinded they did not see the squad surrounding them - trapping them in the intense wave of energy.
The light grew furiously before eventually dying out, multiplying gravity in the area to a ridiculous extent - the kirah sapping mantra went to work on the ensnared lethal powers within; leaving the point of impact shrouded in dust. The Chieftain landed in the base of the crater amongst her barely conscious troop; she was as exhausted as them.
When the cloud dissipated, amazingly the demons survived but lay separated and knackered. Reverted to their hueman forms they lay face down in the scorched earth - secretly trying to gather their strength; at this moment they both rued their fight ending up in such a troublesome place.
Sumatran had still yet to work out how the void rope dumped them in the southern sea, it should have dropped them in the lands of Shui. Then there was the merciless Kumi, who just emerged from his gyorb, gasping for air. He was a beast. The regret was beginning to stack upon Sumatranโs shoulders, having forced his brother to behave in Subterra, now they were nearing death without having fought anywhere near their fullest.
Chieftain Asra and her entourage gathered themselves, with no time to be in shock at the robustness of the invaders - the Chieftain gave the signal - like reanimated corpses Zulons lurched upwards from under the earth. Faces covered in flat masks; decorated in demonic exaggerated impressions of beasts, they are a fearsome sight.
The group of assassins flew forward in search of the finishing blows. However, the Denaar appears before the Zulon's, throwing an orb into the air. An intense light flashes, followed by crystal shards. Instantly blinding and piecing the on-comers. Rushing to Kumi side, he places a small white pill onto his tongue.
What is this fog, thought the Denaar, stood over Kumi. He waited intently while Kumiโs strength returned, it would only take a moment. Opain, an artificial life restoring drug - boosts vitality for a short time; the negative effect, a bad hangover that leaves the taker powerless for a few days. The Denaar looked around studying the suspicious looking smoke around them.
โGet up, Kumi this fog, isnโt goodโ.
All the while, wispy trails of
