The rocket flew out of Yeget’s hands, flying towards the helicopter like a chained dog getting a taste of freedom. The explosive made its way to the helicopter, alerting the inhabitants of its existence. Dawn, who was the one piloting the aircraft, heard the alarms going off at the helicopter’s dashboard, immediately shooting off the flares. The flares detached from the helicopter and shot everywhere around them, hoping to stop the rocket. Unfortunately, the rocket bypassed the flares, though it was grazed by one of the flares and thrown off-centered, and clipped the helicopter’s tail. The helicopter staggered forward, dealing with the hit.
“What’s wrong?” Blackhawk, the leader of the survivors, asked. He glanced behind them, looking out of a back window. “Where were we hit?”
“The tail, sir,” Dawn told him without looking at him. Instead, her focus was on stabilizing the helicopter with little results. The helicopter’s dashboard flashed several colors as an alarm rang out, putting fear into the other inhabitants of the helicopter. Dawn did her best to keep them afloat, but it was a waste as the tail’s rotor spun out of use and shot off. Now without the tail rotor, the helicopter began its descent.
“Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! We’re going down! We’ve been hit! We’re going down!” She screamed into her headpiece’s radio, while also informing the inhabitants of the helicopter. She looked up at the rearview mirror at her team as they mentally and physically prepared themselves. Rogue, Scout, and Archer sat behind her, all with different expressions. Rogue looked off to the side of the helicopter, staring at the moon as it began its descent, lost in thoughts. Archer stared at his hands, figurative blood on his hands. Rex’s blood. And Scout held onto his chair as if holding onto it would help him survive the impact. Even if it didn’t improve his chances at survival, it brought him some comfort.
Blackhawk, meanwhile, focused on what was in front of him. He stared at the dashboard and controls and saw multiple flashing lights and alarms going off. He couldn’t tear his eyes off them, staring at them harshly.
Dawn, who now looked back at the dashboard, grimaced at herself. She stared at the flashing light that alerted her to their situation. They were now descending faster than they should, aiming to crash at a nearby town, not being Hanshin. She couldn’t do anything but try to have the helicopter absorb as much of the blow as it could.
With a tearful voice, she called out to her comrades. “Brace for impact! Brace for impact!”
The helicopter collided into an empty plain just shy of the town’s outskirts, grazing nearby houses. The damage to the houses was minimal, though there was major damage to the crew of the helicopter.
Blood went everywhere, staining the once clean land.

Yeget watched as the rocket clipped the helicopter, emitting a gray smoke that darkened after the rotor spun off, being discarded. He grinned as he noticed the aircraft dipping in altitude. “Tha’s what they get. Let them burn. Let them rot in hell, those government pigs! They deserve to die for trying to kill us! Let them burn! Let the world burn!” He declared before going into a laughing fit. However, his laughs didn’t carry the same happiness that normal laughs carried. These laughs were menacing and spiteful. These laughs belonged to a person with ill intentions.
Yeget dropped the empty rocket launcher, heading into his house, chuckling to himself. He was acting out on his intentions. His very ill and malicious intentions.

Blackhawk stumbled out of the helicopter, having managed to survive the crash with very minimal injuries. Aside from a few cuts and bruises on his body, he was in good health considering the situation he found himself in.
“Damn,” He remarked as he was hit with the smell of gasoline and fresh air. He then turned around to face the fallen helicopter behind him, returning to assist his comrades. The crash was severe, but the aircraft took most of the blow and left the crew mostly unscathed, except for Dawn who suffered the most. She struck the dashboard and bruised her body severely which Blackhawk picked up on. He approached her, trying his best to squeeze through the sunken front seat, but struggled to make it through the mess of bent frames, glass, and broken objects. He was forced to retreat.
“Sir?” Archer asked him, appearing from his side. He managed to climb out of the backseat with Rogue and Scout following him. They had light wounds, nothing in comparison to Dawn.
Blackhawk glanced at them before turning his attention back to Dawn. “Set up a perimeter and secure the helo while I get Dawn out.” He ordered, his comrades nodding their heads. Scout had lost his rifle, using his side-arm instead. He followed Rogue and Archer and established a perimeter around the helo and dispatched any zombies that neared them.
Blackhawk, meanwhile, went around the helicopter and began pulling at the door but found it stuck and unable to be pulled open, forcing him to break the semi-broken glass and grab at Dawn. He quickly cleared the glass shards on the window before he began pulling her out, doing his best to get her out without hurting her. Once he managed to recover her, he informed the others and ordered them forward. They sprinted away from the helicopter, with Scout throwing a grenade into the helicopter and blowing it up, before making their way to the nearby houses. Archer took point, leading them into the nearest house and ramming his body through the weak wooden door.
“Clear the rooms,” Archer ordered, Rogue following behind him. The duo quickly invaded the two-story house, going through each room and checking the windows and back door, even checking the roof which they accessed through a ladder that descended from a trap door. The house was empty and all of the entrances and exits locked and secured, allowing Blackhawk to bring in Dawn and lay her on a table. Scout, the only one with real medical training, attended to her with Blackhawk acting as the nurse to his doctor.
Meanwhile, Archer and Rogue blocked the entrances with furniture and other objects they found in the house. They used any and everything they could find to secure the house. The house was put into lockdown as the undead made their way towards them, threatening their existence.
The day wasn’t over yet.

Chapter 39 "Virus X S1 E4 - Orders"“Pass me the first-aid kit!” Scout ordered Blackhawk who nodded and passed him what he needed. They worked on Dawn who was unconscious throughout the entire affair. “It’s not enough.”
“What’s wrong?” Blackhawk asked him. “Did you stop the bleeding?”
Scout nodded, not looking at him. “Most of her wounds are superficial and not fatal, but… I think she may have some internal bleeding. Not entirely sure, but I think she’s still bleeding out. We need to take her to a hospital or at least get someone more experienced than me.”
“So what now? We just watch over her and hope she doesn’t die?” He asked him with a sharp tongue.
“Respectfully, sir, there’s not much we can do. Rex is the most experienced one in our squad. I’m sure if she was here, then we could save Dawn. But without her, we’re at a loss.”
Blackhawk nodded his head before taking off his blood-stained gloves and discarding them to the side. He shook his head as he walked away. Damn… I’m their leader, yet I can’t do anything to help one of my own? All I could do is wait and hope she doesn’t die on us? Damn!
“Sir?” Archer asked, peeking into the dining room from the kitchen that was connected through a nonexistent wall. “The upstairs is clear and secured. The back door and all of the windows are secured. Your orders?”
Blackhawk nodded, dismissing his thoughts. “Patrol the windows and keep an eye on the zombie horde.” He said, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder at the living room where they could hear zombies throwing themselves at the front door in hopes of making it through their barricades and feasting on their brains.
Archer nodded. “Yes, sir.” He said before disappearing. He went upstairs to inform Rogue, who stayed on the second floor, patrolling the upstairs windows and keeping her eye on their surroundings, before making his way to the first floor and looking around. The zombie horde slowly began diminishing, but was still great in numbers, surrounding the house and attempting to break through both entrances.
Scout, meanwhile, was ordered to watch over Dawn while Blackhawk went upstairs and attempted to contact anybody through his walkie-talkie. He tried every frequency, all with little to no results. Crackling overtook many of the frequencies, except for two. The first frequency that worked was one-sided as Blackhawk could only hear the desperate cries of a soldier.
“-inside, requesting support. Please we’re going to be overrun. All of my men are dead. I’m next. I can hear the doors being broken down! Oh, God! Please stop!” The soldier cried out before holding the trigger, blasting at zombies, Blackhawk presumed, before he heard the dead’s man click. The soldier recognized the click too, crying louder. “Stop! Please! I want to survive! Ahhhhhhhh! Stop! It hurts! Get off me! I-” The connection cut off, leaving Blackhawk in eerie silence. He knew what had happened to that soldier.
The next frequency that gave him results was stranger and less clear than the first one. The coarse voice over the walkie-talkie seemed tensed and cryptic. “-pigs. Then I’ll hang them up and butcher them. After that their organs will be taken out and later sold to meat markets and their corpses burnt in a fire. That’s what I’m going to do to those government pigs. I’ll get them and strike them. Then I’ll chain them up like the pigs they are, disgusting pigs. Then I’ll hang them up and butcher them. After that-” He continued to rant but Blackhawk cut him off, turning off the walkie-talkie. He furrowed his brows, unsure how to take the man’s words.
