Mason noticed the clump of mana. “I see that you’re strong, but what are your limits?”
“Uh… I apologize, your majesty, but I don’t know my limits as my cap constantly rises.” He informed Mason.
“Do you believe that you can defeat a dragon or the demon king?” Mason asked him.
“I’m sure if I have time to train, then I could.” Aver responded, slightly overconfidently.
“If you’re so sure, then you will disembark on an adventure to defeat the king of the dragons in Astrial Forest with assistance from Ace and two of my royal guards. I will also allow Ariana and Teresa to go if they please,” Mason ordered. He then turned to face everybody in the room.
“I would like to acknowledge that my daughter has chosen her fiance. The son of the newly established noble family, the Wings; Aver Wing has caught the attention of my lovely daughter. However, he’ll need to receive the blessing of Ace and myself, so he’ll be venturing to Astrial Forest to subdue the king of dragons, which will be testing his strength and limits!” Mason announced. The party roared in applause, congratulating Aver for his future title..
Ace walked around the party with Teresa following him and overheard bits and pieces of people’s conversations. He passed by a group of nobles loudly chatting.
“Can’t you believe that Zach couldn’t bother making it to this party? The nerves of that boy,” A noblewoman muttered. Ace ignored that comment and continued walking through the party. Teresa then tugged on his shirt, catching his attention. He looked down at Teresa who stared up at him.
“I want to go with you,” She told him.
“I can’t let you. It’s going to be dangerous.”
“You pinkie promised me that you’ll never leave my side,” She said.
“I… uh… ” He stammered, raising his eyebrows. He then lowered his eyebrows and let out a small chuckle. “You’re right, I’ll take you as long as you always stay by my side and out of trouble.”
Teresa grinned and nodded her head. “Thank you,” she whispered, staring at him in delight. Ace couldn’t resist the urge to pat her head, delighting her more.
“I’m going as well,” Ariana said, walking up to Ace.
“Will it be fine if I go as well?” Catrina asked, appearing out of nowhere. Mason popped up behind her, scaring her. He nodded his head and allowed both of them to go with Ace, Teresa, Aver, and the two royal guards.
“Thank you, your majesty.” She said, running off to gather her stuff.
Ace then looked down at Teresa, then at the group. He continued to pat Teresa’s head while thinking to himself. I don’t want to leave this world. I. Want. To. Stay. In. This. World!

Episode Thirteen "During Our Travels"“A cloaked figure roams the streets of the slums, armed with a black scythe, slaughtering key factories that fund the crime lord, Wick. The royal family hasn’t commented on the acts of the cloaked man who goes by the name of ‘Black Hood’. It seems like this mysterious Robin Hood character has become popular among the citizens of the slums while feared by the upper classes. Noble Harrison Camp has threatened to use violence against the slum citizens to wipe out Black Hood. The middle and lower class has responded to Camp’s comments with protests, leading to tensions between the classes.” Ace read out loud from a newspaper he grabbed during their travels. He panned over to his right at Teresa, who gave him a look of sheer terror.
“Will we be alright?” She asked.
“We’ll be fine. Striktin is nowhere near Edurdale.”
“It’s not?” Teresa asked.
“It’s an outskirt town. If a war broke out between Great Wolfstein and Edurdale, then Striktin would be the first battle place.” Aver said.
“Outskirt town?” Teresa repeated. Ace nodded and patted her head.
“Aver is correct. Striktin is on the outskirts of the Edurdale territory and is the closest to Great Wolfstein than other nearby towns. Anyways, how do you guess that Striktin would be hit the hardest?” He asked Aver.
Ace rubbed his nape. “Well… I’m very interested in the history of our wars.”
“War history?” Ace repeated.
“Yeah, everything from their weapons to the reasons why they started.” Aver told him.
“Why are you interested in war history?”
“I always found war history to be very interesting.” He remarked. “I also wondered how I would be on a battlefield.”
“We’ll be at Striktin within a couple of days.” Remarked one of the royal guards that King Mason assigned to the group. Silver, one of the guards, drove the carriage with Catrina, sitting by her side. The other guard, Mace, sat across from Ace, his head drooping to his side. His eyes flickered as his breathing steadied. He was falling asleep.
“It looks like the trip has gone rather smooth.” Ace pointed out.
“I’m surprised, there usually are a few monsters on this trail.” Aver muttered. “Maybe some adventurers cleaned them up before we got here.”
“Don’t jinx us,” Ace remarked. “It’s better if we don’t encounter anything. I don’t want to deal with some type of Black Hood character along our way to Striktin or at the town.”
“You’re right, let’s just pray for a safe journey.”

Episode Fourteen "Royal Guards"“Stop the carriage!” Silver shouted. Catrina nodded, stopping the carriage. She held the reins tightly in her hands. She glanced over at Silver, who pointed at a collection of goblins and orcs.
“What’s going on?” Ace asked, popping his head out.
“Goblins and orcs are barring us from Striktin.” Silver responded.
“I’ll take care of them.” Ace remarked as he hopped out of the carriage, brandishing his sword.
“If you wouldn’t mind, can you allow us to take care of him?” Silver asked. Mace suddenly woke up, rising from his seat and jumping out of the carriage, following Silver towards the orcs and goblins. Meanwhile, the others, except for Catrina, jumped out of the carriage and formed behind Ace.
“Can I help?” Teresa asked, looking up at Ace.
“No,” he responded.
“Please?” She responded, handing Ace the sight of puppy eyes which nearly destroyed him.
“Ugh… how about I teach you how to fight after we return to Great Wolfstein,”
“Weak,” Ariana muttered as she walked past him.
“Teaching her to fight is important. If she doesn’t learn how to protect herself, then she’ll always be in danger in the future.” Aver suggested.
“Yeah, you’re right. Soon, I’ll teach her.” Ace whispered, facing Aver. He then glanced over his shoulder and watched as Mace and Silver fought the goblins and orcs. He took a few steps towards them to support them.
“Don’t worry, sir. The monsters will be taken care of shortly!” Mace declared. He had spiky orange hair that rose a few centimeters in height and had night-black eyes. He wore lightweight iron armor that matched with Silver’s armor. Silver had dark grey hair that dangled to his eyes with a matching pair of eyes.
“We won’t need help, they’ll be taken care of, soon!” Silver shouted as he cut down a goblin. They both were able to cut down the goblins and orcs with their weapons---a sickle and a longsword. Mace wielded a sickle, cutting an orc to shreds, eviscerating it. Meanwhile, Silver used his longsword to pierce a goblin’s heart, bringing it down and extinguishing its life.
“Silver, flank them!” Mace ordered as he faced the remaining monsters---four goblins and an orc.
“Copy,” Silver responded as he sprinted around the orc.
“I’ll distract the orc and goblins. Take out the orc first then aid me in slaughtering the goblins.” Mace ordered as he struck a goblin.
“Copy,” Silver responded as he slashed at the orc. “I’m going to use my skill!” He declared as he slowly backed away from the orc.
“Copy, make it quick,” Mace told him. The orcs and goblins were unintelligible and couldn’t understand human words, leading to confusion in identifying the human’s next action. Silver charged his skill, an ability that Mason granted using a device connected to God---to ensure that the royal guards could keep up with Ace’s terrifying power---before unleashing it. “Multi-Strike!” He shouted, dashing towards the orc, landing several slashes in one. The increased slash speed allowed Silver to cut the orc into pieces with little resistance.
Mace then called out to him, “Silver, give me some time to activate my skill!” He shouted while slowly backing away from the three remaining goblins. Silver flanked the goblins, ambushing one of them and managing to kill it. This allowed Silver to gather all of the attention as Mace charged his skill by beginning an extremely long chant. “Full Force Strike!” He shouted, waiting ten seconds, before charging towards the remaining two goblins and slamming his weapon at them, breaking their bones on impact. Mace raised his sickle as he smirked, winking at them before slicing their heads off. Now covered in blood, both guards turned towards Ace like a puppy would do to their owners whenever they look for praise.
“We’ll continue the journey in a few moments.” Silver told Ace.
“Perfect,” Ace responded.
“I’m getting back into the carriage then,” Ariana muttered before jumping into the carriage with the others, soon following after her.
Mace and Silver dug through the monsters and collected the crystals hidden within them, bringing it back to the carriage in a duffle bag.
“The carriage will be departing to Striktin immediately. Prepare yourselves,” Silver told them as he handled the reins, moving Catrina into the back, while Mace jumped back into his spot, falling asleep quickly.
