"Well, from what I've been told, it's a large tower. Near the top of it, there is a room. The room has a glowing red light that flickers when ever there's near by movement. Why do you ask?" She asked him looking at him up and down.
"No reason. Just, I think we've found your tower." Vendell followed his gaze. She saw a large tower with a flickering light a the top.
"Oh God." She said in amazement. "It's real. It's actually real."
"Wait a second," Traqit said," you didn't know for sure this was real? So, all of this, the chases, the attacks. All of it, could have been for something that didn't exist?"
"All that matters it's that it's here." Vendell said, and walked away.
"Yeah but..." Trait decided it was no use, and just followed. Ty looked at Morgan, and for the first time since his murder, she didn't look away. He took this in for a second, and his spirit was suddenly lifted. He walked behind her, watching for anything dangerous.
If there's anything out there, I'll kill it.
He thought. They got to the base of the tower soon after they saw.
"After this, the map just ends." Trait said. "So, do we climb it, or something?"
"No, there's an entrance here some where." Vendell said. "Is it another door way like the other one?" Vendell asked Trait.
"The map doesn't say so. But if you want a door way, then we've got it covered. Oh Tyler." He called.
"On it." Ty simply said. He walked pass Vendell and Traiten, up to the wall, and rammed his shoulder in to it. He did it once, twice, three times and the wall came crumbling down. Vendell looked at him, jaw dropped and eyes raised, in astonishment. Traiten looked at his brother proudly. "You guys coming, or do I have to get this thing myself?" He asked. And with that, he walked away.
"Well that's one way of doing it." Said Vendell.
Chapter 12
They entered the ruin that was once the wall of the tomb.
"Why is there a stair case. There should not be a stair case in a tomb such as this, or any tomb at all?" Said Vendell as she walked up the stairs.
"Why do you always have to talk like that?" Ty asked back. Vendell straightened up.
"Talk like what?" She asked offended.
"You know, the medieval accent you've got. The 'We must stop this... destructive... monster... thing' or how ever you say it."
"My tone speech does not have a matter in this."
"See," Tyler said immediately,"that's what I'm talkin' about." She glared at him. But before she could reply, her jaw dropped. Ty quickly realized that she was looking behind him. They had reached the top of the flight, and at the top was something that could barely be described. Ty turned and saw a demon like creature, hung up right in front of a large, giant, window. The creature seemed to be female, it had long, sharp looking claws on each of her fingers. And on her back were what looked like bat wings. She wore a large trench coat, black, that hung down to the floor.
"What the hell is that!" Tyler yelled and went for his sword.
"Stop!" Vendell yelled. "That is the Necron." Vendell said, and walked toward it. "She is sleeping". Then, she walked right in front of her, and sat down. She started saying, "Oh great Necron-."
"Hey you ugleh bitch! Wake the hell up! We need you!" Tyler yelled over her. She turned her head in more anger than ever before. Then when she heard the movement, turned her head back toward the Necron. THe creature spoke.
"Who dares wake me?" Her voice was hardly distinguishable from that of a man's, and it echoed over the hollow room, making every one look around except Vendell.
"I'm sorry to bother you, Necron, but we-."
"Get your ass up and help us." Ty, again, rudely interrupted her. She turned her head slowly toward him, straining from jumping on him and clawing his eyes out.
"Pardon my rude accomplice," She said to the Necron through gritted teeth. Then, her voice returned to normal," He has yet to learn his manners. But as I was saying-."
"Let the boy speak, I'm interested in what he has to say." She was interrupted again, but this time, it was the Necron.
Ty walked up with a smile on his face. "Well then-." His smile quickly turned into a frown. "Wait a second, did you just call me boy?" Vendell growled. "Anyway, I'm going to make this short for you. We're in some kind of trouble, though I don't know what it is because somebody won't tell me,"He said looking at Vendell,"but nevertheless, we need you. That's the most I know."
"You talk bravely, young one, but also stupidly. I can see that know little of who I am."
"Oh no, you have that Lord of the Rings thing going on too? Damn, first it's the cat, now it's the bat. Doesn't anyone care about me any more? I'm supposed to be this big, important guy and no one gives a damn about what I have to think about, well, anything."
"We've just barely been introduced, yet you are already treating me with this kind of judgement. You should choose your enemies wisely, boy."
"I told you before, my name is Tyler Wraith." Ty said trying to sound calm, but he was clearly getting angry. "Now, will you help us with whatever we need help with?"
"Tyler Wraith." The Necron said, chewing his name in her mouth. "What a name, so ordinary, yet, so abnormal. Tell me then, boy, why should I help you?"
Tyler Wraith walked over to Vendell and only their whispering could be heard. After a brief moment, Ty straightened up and Vendell nodded to him. He walked back over to where he was previously standing. Looked up, then spoke.
"O.k. Look, there's a crisis of some sort, and we need help to fix it. Now, again, will you help us?"
"It all depends what the crisis is. Though I can already read your anger and your crisis through your mind. You need me to direct you towards your next destination. The one that will give you the power to end the war, that is beyond human knowledge."
"Wait, wait, wait. What war? Nobody ever said anything about a war."
"I see you haven't told him." The Necron said looking up from Ty and towards Vendell. "I bet you haven't ever told Morgan about it either."
Vendell looked down. "They weren't ready to know." She said not looking up.
"When were you fixing on telling them, Vendell," said the Necron,"when they were on the field. Fight an army of demons, not knowing the reason why until it's too late."
Vendell looked up. "I feared that-."
"You
feared
. You did not think of the other's thoughts on the subject because you feared that they would not comply on fighting. Well, let us see what they feel about your fear." She looked back down at Ty. "So, boy, do you still wish to stand along side this deceiving feline?"
There was a long moment of silence before Tyler looked up and said what he had to say. His filled with hatred, his fists clenched, and his breathing heavy. "I fight along side who I want fight by. I fight along side my friends. My family. I fight by Vendell, Morgan, and my brother, Traiten Wraith. They're what you never had, don't have, and never will have. We asked for your help, but you won't give it to us. They treated you like a god. I treat you like scum. You're nothing but the dust on an old table, waiting to be cleaned off. And Necron, I'm going to clean you off." And with those final words, Tyler quickly took out his sword and slashed. Then he re-sheathed his sword. He stood up straight, and headed back towards the stair case. Behind him, the others were watching him. Then they heard a sound that caught their attention. They turned their heads back toward that Necron, and watched it's head slowly slide off it's shoulders. They watched, in astonishment, as the head hit the ground, and they body sagged where it hanged. Silently, without a word, Morgan and Traiten walked down the stairs to join Ty. Only Vendell was left.
She spoke quietly, almost to her self. "I told you before. Your arrogance would soon be your downfall. But you still did not listen. Though I do not regret your death, I wish for your soul to rest in piece." She nodded towards the the limp body, and padded towards the stair case, ready to find a new way to war.
Chapter 13
"So what do we do now?" Trait asked.
"Vendell we find your next weapon our selves." Vendell said as she walked from the staircase. "There are higher powers than the Necron. They will be the ones to tell us where it is.
