David hurt me like no bully had ever done before. He seemed to know my every weakness... which made everything he said ans did just so much worse. At first, I didn't really realize what was going on, but as time went on and David grew crueler and crueler towards me, I realized something. David absolutely hated me, and there was not one thing I could do to change his mind.

I would actually skip school sometimes because it felt like there was no way I could handle even one more day of his cruel remarks. Unfortunately, things at home weren't much better. David's bullying made my grades go down lower than they had ever gone before. As soon as my papa saw that my grades had gone down to two D's and one F, he started to yell at me all the time. I couldn't stand it. I tried to explain to him about David, but he wouldn't listen to me. Papa also grew more cruel than he had ever been before. One time, he said that that he wished he had gotten rid of me instead of his dog (his dog had attacked and nearly killed me when I was around 7 years old). So eventually, I decided it would be better to go to school and deal with David than go home and deal with papa.

David called me pretty much all the names in the book, plus some he had made up himself. Even worse, he found out why I had to leave the classroom every day at 2:00 PM. He found out that I was going to the office to get my meds (for my ADHD). Pretty soon he started asking me if I had taken my pills yet... and calling me a freak. His favorite phrase to call me was "freakazoid" a word he had made up, but it packed quite a punch... as many people at school started calling me that.

There were times when I seriously considered suicide because of his bullying. I felt like I was everything he said I was (see the "glossary" for a list of some of the nicknames or phrases he liked to say to me)... and that he was right when he said that no one would care if I died. One time, I even asked my papa if he would care if I killed myself, and his response was: "Fine. Let me go get the gun." And no, he was not joking. He meant it.
David made fun of me because I am religious. Which, of course, led to a lot of questioning on my part as to whether he was right to call me stupid to believe in God. I don't know if it was the way David was raised, or just the way he was naturally... but he was a jerk. Thankfully, I did not have him in my class the next year, and the year after that, he moved away. But... I saw him a few months ago in Newport. I hear he is home-schooled now... but I am afraid that he may come back to school again. If he does, I don't think I will be able to handle going through all of that yet again. Not with the emotional and mental problems I have at the moment.
Now, I am hoping that will be good enough to satisfy your curiosity about David, but if not, be sure to look at the glossary, which is also known as Chapter 2. LOL. Thank you for reading. Now, It will be awhile until I can work on the Bullied series again, so until then, please remain patient with me.
