βSee yourself and others through heromotive lenses and you will always walk in identity, significance, power, purpose. Thank you for taking the journey,β he concluded.
Her lips trembled as she struggled to get out the words thank you. He smiled approvingly just like he had done earlier.
Jaws Franklin remembered Kimβs story. He thought about her milestones. He took out a drawing he had completed. It was a lifecycle pie. There was a circle shape drawn on the paper. On the top of the circle he wrote understanding at 12 oβ clock. On the right side he wrote belief at 3 oβclock. He wrote rest on the bottom of the circle at 6 oβclock and wrote trust on the left side of the circle at 9 oβ clock. The circle was separated into three sections similar to the peace sign symbol. One line was drawn from the top of the circle down from 12 oβclock to the middle of the circle where it split into two lines creating an angle. The two lines continued to the bottom of the circle on opposite sides separating the circle into three sections. Inside the section of the circle that faced belief he wrote student of heromotive. Inside the section of the circle that faced rest he wrote service participant of heromotive. Inside the section of the circle that faced trust he wrote submitting to heromotive. This drawing represented his discovery. It caused self-awareness. Understanding was the starting point at 12 oβclock. He thought moving from understanding to belief is the role of a student of heromotive; a person learning to believe. Moving from belief to rest is the role of a service participant of heromotive; a person laboring to rest by practicing principles that require accountability. Moving from rest to trust is the role of submitting to heromotive; a person agreeing to selflessly yield under the authority of someone or something to see grace or the manifestation of heromotive.
He conceived that there are challenges and perils in each of the three roles but there was clarity that came from knowing where he was on the lifecycle pie. It helped him know how he needed to transition to achieve the manifestation of heromotive that comes from trusting his evidence and heromotive. After trust the lifecycle pie started again at greater understanding.
He reflected on his own fears in the quietness of the day. He could still hear the click from the pump in the fish tank next to his desk. He decided again that he was going to write today. He had started writing Basic Training for Heroes a few months ago when he rediscovered Kimβs story.
Every time Jaws remembered Kimβs story he thought about how it changed his thinking about everything. He thought about the lifecycle pie. It reignited him. He felt like he was getting a second chance. It was liberating.
He knew there were others like him that needed Kimβs story. It could help them achieve heroic performance. It was basic hero training. He liked the way that sounded, Basic Hero Training.
His book could be the tool to launch or re-launch people. Jaws Franklin saw himself through heromotive lenses because of Kimβs story. From his first chapter to his last he was in for the time of his life.
