The Ice Berg

Meet Penguin and Whale.

They are two friends who had many

adventures, including "The Iceberg."

One fine day, Penguin was waddling around,

and ended up on an iceberg. Whale swam up.

"Good Morning Penguin" Whale said.

"Hello Whale! I'm just..." Penguin was then

interrupted by a strange cracking sound. He

looked down, and realized the ice was cracking!

A piece of ice broke off and Penguin floated away!

Whale tried to catch the piece of ice before

Penguin floated away, but he couldn't make it!

Penguin floated farther and farther out.

Whale was sad because Penguin had floated away.

"But I can't give up!" he said, swimming farther

and farther away from home.

"Penguin! Where are you?" Whale yelled out as he came to the

surface. But there was no answer. Whale kept swimming, and

then he reached a very colorful and beautiful reef. There was

lots of friendly fish and dolphins!

"Hello mate" said a Shark. "What’s your name?"

"My name is Whale, nice to meet you! Have you

seen a big iceberg floating over this reef?" Whale asked.

"Why yes I have" said the Shark, and he pointed in

the direction the iceberg had gone.

"Thank You!" replied Whale. And with that, he swam on,

hoping to find Penguin. "I hope I find him!" Whale said.

He swam and swam until he came to an old shipwreck.

He slowly entered.

"Who goes there?" asked a friendly voice.

Whale was scared at first;

then a friendly purple octopus came out of nowhere!

"Lost?" the octopus asked. "Yes, I'm lost" said Whale.

"Well you've come to the right place, my friend!"

"Have you seen a small iceberg floating up above?" Whale asked.

"Indeed I have! It passed by a few minutes ago" the Octopus

replied. Whale and Mr. Octopus went out of the wrecked ship,

and Mr. Octopus pointed in the direction the iceberg was going.

"Thanks!" Whale called back, and swam on.

After swimming for a few minutes, Whale saw a big chunk of ice

floating above. Whale swam up. "Penguin!" Whale cried out.

Penguin was on a much bigger piece of ice.

"Why are you on a different piece of ice, Penguin?" Whale asked.

"Well, the piece I was on before we got separated was melting, and

then I saw this bigger piece, so I hopped on it." Penguin replied.

Penguin hopped on Whale's back, and they swam home. Along the

way, Whale took Penguin to see some of Whale's new friends.
