This is just a summary of a book by Nazir Ahmad Faiq who has already contributed one book to this site. Mr. Faiq has been a keen thinker and a philosopher who yearns to bring religious rivals to a common platform and compel them intellectually shake hands with each other and live in harmony. Religious animosity has begotten a severely harmful environment all across the globe posing a potential threat to the very survival of human species as a whole. It has marqueraded the human race from its natural dynamics of happiness and eternal peace. Mr. Faiq aims (through his innovative writings) to appease down that hostility between religions and expose people to a common and axiomatic truth that we are made for each other and we shoul live and help others to live. Mr. Faiq is of the thought that the world is like a family and we are all the members of that family and out God, the Lord, is like a loving father in the Heaven. The very purpose of our creation is to identify the glory of God by helping one another. Mr. Nazir has a strong power in his writing which is simple and comprehensible even to a layman but his ideas have a great force that surpasses great thinkers and philosophers that human race has seen. He makes things understand by simple examples and parables. His examples and parables are so relevant and applicable that there is no denying the fact that his writing represents life as it ought to be. One finds a great joy in his writings and feels love for all humanity. His writings make you feel as if some compassionate fellow is telling you stories like your old grandma. You love the stories and parables the way small children love them. But the stories Mr. Faiq are not as light as the ones we were being told when we were children. Faiq's narrative is meaningful and have importance from many points of view. His stories and parables sometimes remove the obstacles from your understanding of ideal life and sometime you find that he very philosophical and thoughtful in giving you an effective solution to the problems of mankind. In this book entitled "Breaking the Roots of Evil", he invites all humans to a platform where from we all can light up the candle of peace and universal brotherhood. If his writings are taken seriously, it would help the world to establish its much needed peace and happiness. He starts in a very lucid style with the story of the origin of humans. He supports the theory of special creation but he does not criticize the the Darwinian arguments. He does not even mention controversial thoughts. He does not quote any argument from design. Neither does he claim to be an ardent supporter of the theory of special creation. He gives you freedom to think your own way at many junctures of your thought nodes. This book is an amazing example of the harmonious amalgamation of inter-religious conceptual arguments and beliefs. In this book one can never smell of any support to one thought and any criticism to the other. Equal respect and honest analysis is the pearl Faiq has displayed elegently in this book. He relates the story of Adam according to the semites and then relates the same with that of Manu Rishi in Hindu religion. His quotes display the brilliance of his selfless and impartial thoughts. The book then exploits exerpts from the natural history of the world to make us believe that we really are one and can not live in isolation. Our animosity is our own enemy which is creating problems for our survival day by day thereby defeating the very purpose of life itself. This book enforces to believe that unless and until we ourselves are ready to be good to others, we have no right to expect good from others. In this book, similarities between the narrations of different religions are being told in such a good style that one is compelled to appreciate the artistry of God to create a species so diverse with so much of similarities of ideas. In the next part the problems which are and have been face to face with humanity have been dealt with. A process of identification is rigorously set into play to identify the problems human beings are facing. This has been done in a very methodical way starting from the individual level, going social, econimic and then finally coming to the political systems. After the diagnosis of these problems the book discusses how these curses originated and what are the probable outcomes of these problems. Then starts a very good part of looking for the remedies to combat these problems. Mr. Faiq involves his dynamic knowledge and understanding of the human mind to understand the nature of the problem and the probabale ways by which we can get rid of these problems. He the makes us to understand his thoughts by telling a simple stroy of a boy who is very sad because of the evil that has broke out in his native land. That boy has fled from his motherland and just goes on weeping in a far away forest. Then the books philosophically relates every human being to that boy who escapes his responsibility and then goes on weeping and wailing about what he could have avoided. The story then goes on by a twist where this sad boy meets a man full of wisdom and piety. Thsi man then directs the boy to take various measures in order to bring harmony to his native land. Many historical events are reminded through a writing technique called romantic realism where all the ideas and thought prove to be pragmatic as everything is being related to history. This boy then follows the instructions fo that wise fellow. During his journey, he learns a lot of things like why were we created. What does God need from us? What is the very purpose of creation? Why different religions? What is meant by power? What are the responsibilities of might? What are the solutions to the problems of Mankind? And after learning so much, this boy then utilizes his experiences to bring back the lost peace to his homeland. Everyone becomes happy and in the same way every other human being can become happy. Thsi book is a wonderful combination of fiction with magical romanticism and magical realism. All embracing approach and reconcillation of the divided opinions is a wonder that has been wonderfully created in this book. We are looking for potential publishers to get the book published. We speculate that this book will outnumber our expectations in readership as well as its admirers. Anyone interested to publish this peice of writing is encouraged to srite to us.
