DREAM, POETRY AND SONG
BR Raksun
There are few exceptionally important things in everybody’s life, dream, poetry and songs.
Dream means a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.
“Dreams are sweet. I love dreams sweeter. What our mind wants to catch as sweet dream. It is possible in our sleep. A subconscious mind is in fact a dream catcher.”
There is no one in the world who lives happily or even unhappily without dreams. Some people say that the dreams are a must for living, either happily or unhappily, it is different.
Poetry means a literary work in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive style and rhythm; poems collectively or as a genre of literature. It is a quality of beauty and intensity of emotion regarded as characteristic of poems. It is also something regarded as comparable to poetry in its beauty.
Somebody says, “Poetry is so sweet. I love poetry very much” Some other says, “Beauty spread around here is like poetry. I see the wind is its music. The beautiful flowers with different colors in the nature are the beautifully woven dress of the nature. The life in the beauty spread everywhere in and around is the real poetry. To enjoy poetry, one must have the heart to understand the beauty that is heard as seen or the music felt by eyes. Eyes can see and hear music in the life.”
Song means a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung. Song also means the musical phrases uttered by some birds, whales, and insects, typically forming a recognizable and repeated sequence and used chiefly for territorial defense or for attracting mates.
“Songs are sweet. I love songs very much” people say.
Whatever we like, it is sweet/ Let it be dream, poetry or song. A poet is one who is mad or lunatic. He dreams as if he is mad. He writes poetry. Now-a-days reading poetry has become rare, so people are just hearing songs. Songs with music are sweet and elevate you to other places.
“This song is good. But the singer is bad”
“The singer is good. But the song is bad”
“The singer and song are good. The music is bad.”
“The music is great. But the song has no meaning. It is very bad.”
“The music is great. The meaning is the life. The words are bad.”
“He is not a poet. He has no dream. He is just writer. It is very bad.”
***
“Dreams are great. Dreams are life. No one can live without good dreams.”
“Dreams are our goals. I wish to live the dreams. What is a life without dreams?”
“Dreams have no time, like day or night.”
“You can dream in day at looking ugly thing as the most beautiful one. It is your nice heart that dreams.”
“I dream every good thing I see in my life. I don’t day-dream. I dream in nights only what I like.”
“Dreams are aims. I catch dreams of what I wish to be or what I want to be.”
“My dreams are my desires. My pleasure hunts are my dreams. My impossible tasks are my dreams.”
“My inner feelings are my dreams. I am a lover and killer in my dreams. I am good and bad in dreams.”
***
“I want to become poet. I know now that anyone can be a poet.”
“Why do you think so?’
“I saw that film and heard the songs. What the poet expressed in those songs is inferior and less than what I can do. I mean to say that I am really a better poet than him.”
“He is not a poet who wrote that song.”
“Who is he? He may be a writer. Then I can be a better writer.”
“He is not a writer too.”
“Then...He may be a budding singer.”
“No... He is not a singer too.”
“If so I can be a singer too.”
“He is just the producer who wrote the film, directed and sung all the songs in that film.”
“Great. He is out of my expectations. I cannot be a producer to do such experiments.”
“To be a poet, you don’t need money to produce a film with your own dream songs.”
“I wish to be a poet. What should I do?”
“You have to buy a poet’s heart.”
“Where is it available?”
“Search in old books in old libraries. It needs no money.”
***
“I love songs. I love music. I love dance.”
“What is special? Anybody can do that.”
“I love songs with music only, songs that are published without music or not my preference.”
“So You like MP3”
“Not only MP3… songs in many more formats also. But I like songs with music and dance more.”
“Good thing. I too like dance.”
“Don’t you like songs?”
“My eyes like dance. My ears love music and song. My heart feels greatness in the meaning of song.”
