Once upon a time in the dead of winter there stood a village called BAM. Near this village was the dark forest, the Forbidden Forest and within these woods lived creatures of the night and beyond your imagination. These creatures are the monsters that lurk under your bed, outside your window, inside your closet. They dance around fires, sing songs of stealing children, eat the bones of those kids, and they worship anything bad to just have some fun.
In the village, there were rumors, that someone from the forest had been behind kidnapping the children from the village. At the school, children has become weary and dreary of this because most of them refuse to sleep. The village leaders son Samual, everyone calls him sam, tells his classmates that he'll find the monster who is doing all of this.
Sam will jump up on his desk and yell, "I'll catch that old mean monster and i will throw it in its own pit of fire that it dances around. It will learn that it can't touch us and get away with it!!!"
Others just watch little sam yell and shout of how he will be heroic. The other little boys and girls turn around and mummble to each other to allow him to blow off steam. sooner of later he will stop. Once the teacher comes to the classroom everyone, like little zombies, go through and do all of the same routines, meanwhile Sam hatches a plan to head out to the forest and fight!
Sam when after school would run to the town well. Which was always close to the border of the forbidden forest, and play with the other kids but since the kidnappings no child will step near the well in fear of being the next child. Even sams best-friend Anna-Marie wont stand near the well. Most of the parents of the other kids for some reason refuse to allow sam and them to play together.
. Once he got home he called and checked for both granny and father. Once all was confirmed he was alone Sam went to the back of the house to the lightest colored door there, and opened it. The first thing he had seen with his eyes was the fireplace. Slowly he leaned his head in and he saw a grand chair a desk behind it and all the books that could possibly fit in one room and his father soundly asleep in the chair. Samβs heart skipped a beat, he stood there as still as possible, waiting for any sound from the heavy sleeper called father.
As soon as Sam could reassure himself that all was okay he went for the daring mission of stealing his fatherβs book on the forest. As he crept along the book cases lining all four walls he looked at the book one by one, row by row, and column by column. Even the stacks on the floor. He found all sort of book like:
Flowers in forests
Carnivores, Herbivores, and omnivores
Picture Book: Family photos
History of the Village
Forbidden forest: everything and everyone inside
Once Sam found this book he knew he hit the jackpot when suddenly he heard his granny walking in the front door. Sam quickly grabbed the book along with two others that peaked his interest and ran out his granny was in the kitchen.
βSammy is that you?β She singed.
βYes, granny I was looking for farther.β Sam said trying to sound innocent.
The leader's home."Dad why won't they play with me?" every night before sam falls asleep would ask and ask but his father would continue to pretend the question was never there.
Sam never knew his mother but from the photos that would line the walls he could see what beauty she had been. Sam's mother was tall with the palest skin, but for some reason it made her look radiantly beautiful. Especially with her red shiny hair that was very long, his mothers lips were of a blood red and her eyes were as pale as the sky. He could remember her singing to him before bed and reading him a book. She was the gentlest woman in the world.
From what sam would hear his granny say at times is that all the women in the village as little girls were jealous of his mother. It was because father had been deeply in love with her but she had not felt the same for him. Instead mom had been said to of been in love with some other boy but she never revealed it to even those closest and dearest of her. His mothers name was Alice, and she was the prettiest Alice out there.
When Sam started his plan for hunting down the child thief he could only think of one place to go and that was fathers library a place he was forbidden to enter at all times of the day and night even with father inside. But Sam saw no reason that would not justify his being inside the library. It is just a place where his father hid and read. So when Sam left school, he went home instead of trying to get other kids to play with him. Once he got home he called and checked for both granny and father. Once all was confirmed he was alone Sam went to the back of the house to the lightest colored door there, and opened it.
