My Love Of Dragons

A dragon is a creature that exists as a legend in folk and mythology around the world. Cultures have perceived dragons differently, although they occur commonly in the title across the globe. Some types of dragons include; standard western dragon, cockatrice, and hydra dragon.  In the folklore of many European and Asian cultures, the dragon is a legendary beast. They perceive dragons as creatures that are large and lizard-like that breath fire and have a long scaly tail. Dragons are traditionally portrayed as ferocious beasts that represent the evils fought by human beings in Europe. Generally, the animals are considered friendly creatures that ensure good luck and wealth in Asia, especially in China and Japan. Dragons lived in wild, remote regions of the world, according to some medieval legends. In their dens, they guard treasure, and the wealth was gained by a person who killed one treasure. This article will discuss an interesting story with facts about dragons.

Types of dragons

Dragons are not the same, just like cats and dogs. The determination of various kinds of dragons is by the number of limbs they have and the resembling of other creatures. They include:

Amphitere

They comprise of hybrid, part of snake and bird. Their bodies look like the serpent’s body right from the head to the tail. They might have forelimbs depending on the depiction although they don’t have hind limbs

Drake

Drake means dragon in Middle English. They have four legs. They possess bodies that are low slung.  They are much larger, although they look similar to lizards.

Hydra

They have many heads and are serpents with water. Even though one head is cut off, still another one ill grow at its place. These dragons acquire additional tails, wings, or arms.

Eastern

They are great wisdom dragons. They have a similar snake’s body, frog’s belly camel’s head, hare’s eyes, bull’s ears, and claws like an eagle.

African

Their shape makes most people not to consider them as dragon creatures. They do not have legs or arms, making them look similar to the serpents. They look alike with giant snakes.

Cockatrice

They have a yellow belly, and they are red or yellow. Their bodies are covered with scales and leather wings. Their breath is poisonous, a killing peak, and they consume anything on locomotion.

Wyvern

They possess a quality of aggressiveness. They have a dragon’s head, bat’s wings, and a long tail of a serpent. They have legs that resemble the lizard’s leg or bird’s head.

Dragonnet

They look similar to the western dragon, although their size is small. They are dangerous because they hunt in packs despite their small size. Their blood is poisonous hence lethal when it comes in contact with your skin.

Characteristics of the dragon

They are people that are wise and ambitious, making them successful. Their peers respect them for their skills and hardworking.  When given a chance, they can be good leaders and will make many things to be accomplished.

The dragon can ignore advice from other people, and without knowing they can annoy others. They could be successful when they take advice from people and to understand the opinions and feelings of other people.

They have self-confidence, making them proud and jovial people. They are intelligent in their doings and take advantage of a chance very fast. In anything they plan to do, they always do it with determination and with a healthy mind.

Anybody that tries to make a fool out of them, they will criticize them so fast. Dragons are not sensitive; hence pass information by going straight to the point. The dragon does not forget things easily, making them not trust some again if they have been insulted.

They will always have something to say that is interesting; hence their views are highly valued. To achieve their objectives, they work more hours. They are very impatient, making them hate to wait for any delays.

They create the attention of the public, making them adjust to the problem they experience.

Anthropomorphic

They possess human traits. They are unable to walk on all fur forearms since they have short forearms. They have humanlike digits with fingernails and toes in some depictions. They have both human behaviors and human qualities.

I can remember my entire life always being enthralled and fascinated when I saw an image of a dragon either on the show or a cartoon or in a book as a matter of fact I have dragons to thank for my first real excitement about reading fantasy stories and things that were just technical information required for school. Fortunately, I grew up in time. There was a lot of literature written about dragons that to this day is used in media and movies. The first series of books is not the first series I actually read about dragons but the one that made probably the largest impression with the dragon riders of Pern by Ann McCaffrey. The relationship and development between the Dragon riders and their beasts I found fascinating and conspired it in a small way to my relationship with the many animals I had as pets, I never passed a frog or turtle I could pass without saying hello

later in life on a very fun, too fun, trip to New Orleans which the dragon tattoo is on my right bicep today still. It has a story you most likely will relate to. I was in the big easy with my business at the time running a group of shows in the French Quarter. I ran into a group of friends who happened to be there and after finishing my obligations hit Bourbon street and the bourbon. Before long we hooked up with a few army guys and a very famous tattoo artist shop on Rampart Street. Keep in mind that's had no tattoos and at that period of time having one was not particularly well accepted. But as I flipped through the books I came to the dragon images and being very full of alcohol I decided what the heck. Now that I look back I am glad that I did I really enjoy the one tattoo that I still have of the dragon on my arm.

Not just the Dragon tattoo reflects how I feel about dragons but if you look at my business called Keywebco key to the web company my logo is a dragon call Draco specially done by an artist and not just the Dragon tattoo reflects how I feel about dragons but if you look at my business called Keywebco key to the web company my logo is a dragon call Draco specially done by an artist and All copyright license is purchased by myself.
The dragon types I have used for Keywebco over the 15 years I've been in business had changed a few times at the start but for almost all the time after finding my current dragon it has remained the same

A King's Protector - Story

Alex stepped out into the sun and took in a deep breath. Today was unusually hot, even for his little southern town. He checked his phone for the weather report of the day and saw the weather was meant to climb to an impressive one hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit!

He shook his head and made his way to his car. Mondays usually contained no excitement for Alex Gray. This Monday was no different to him and all he had planned for his day, was an eight-hour shift at his bar. He found the work to be fun. He liked the people and while there wasn't much money in owning a bar in the south anymore, he liked the regular customers that would come in.

The drive to his job was typically a short one. He would usually take the interstate, but today was a little different. Something pulled him toward the back road that would take him an extra half an hour to get to work. It was a strong pull, and he was unable to rationalize it but he chose that road anyway.

"Wow, Alex. You just had to take the back roads!", he yelled at himself. He was ready to turn around when all the sunlight that burned him just moments ago, was gone. It was suddenly dark enough that Alex was unable to drive farther. He slowed to a stop and turned his car off. "What the-", he was interrupted when something fell to the ground just in front of his car. He yelled in surprise and covered his eyes as if he was waiting for the glass to break in his car. He looked up and drew in a sharp breath.

Just in front of Alex, there was a strange winged creature. It walked upright, and it looked almost human! He looked at the scaled creature and he noticed it's head tilt to the side. This thing was examining him! He reached under the seat for his .45 caliber pistol and when he had it in his hand he opened the door. His hand was shaking, and he did not know what he was going to do. All he knew, was he was going to find out if this thing was dangerous or not! He took a step forward and the creature stepped back and flinched. It was scared.

Alex couldn't help but notice this and put the gun down. He mentally kicked himself.

If this thing is dangerous...you just set down your one chance at a defense you idiot! He told himself. He raised his hands up to try to show he meant to harm to it. He stood and waited until the creature looked back up at him.

"You...human?", it asked, stretching out its gold scaled hand. Alex screamed. It was almost embarrassing to him how loud he screamed. The creature in turn screamed out of fear as well.

"You can talk?", Alex yelled in shock and confusion.

"I can talk. You didn't know?", this thing tilted his head again as if it expected him to know about it.

"What are you? Where did you come from?"

"Oh. You're a local...People in your town don't know yet. I am a Dragon. My name is Dracus. My father sent me to find a man named Alex. He is our king and we need his help.", Dracus extended his hand yet again.

"This Alex...Do you know what he looks like? I'm Gray.", Alex shook Dragus' hand. He knew he wasn't entirely truthful, but he reasoned that any man in his position would do the very same.

"His appearance is not known to me, unfortunately. All I know is he works at a place called Bar. He put his memory to sleep and we all need him. The rest of the world is in danger of being destroyed by a woman named Eryn.", Dracus' emerald eyes sparkled as he saw what he knew to be a spark of memory cross Alex.

"Gray...Are you sure that is your name? Dragons can see more than you think.", Dracus smiled.

"Ok. Caught me.", Alex grinned. "My name is Alex. This sounds unreal and familiar.
