Meet The Fairy

Once there was a beautiful princess fairy called Sophie, who ruled the Water Bridge village where purple water rushed into a waterfall and nearly entirely everything was made naturally purple.Sophie had brown flowing hair and small, fluttering, purple wings. The princess fairy always wore a glamorous flowery dress which was down to her knees and lived on the Wish tree. There was always a wish tree in every fairy village which you could sing to and your words would be heard by the God of the fairies, but this one occasionally grew delicious wish fruits that you could eat and maybe -if you were helpful at all times-grant you a wish. Sophie lived right at the top of this tree and it was a pleasure for her to look down from it onto her fairies making good deeds. Inside of her little hut was a map of the village and a bowl of wish fruits on the smooth table made of wood,a comfy bed in the corner with a duvet and a pillow of warm and lovely smelling rose petals and a nearly empty wardrobe, which only had a spare dress (in case her other one got muddy or dirty) and her sparkling celebration robe which she wore on her crowning.

While every day she would eat a mixture of fruits -normally three-such as a purple strawberry or a purpleberry for breakfast and glistening purple water as a drink from the Water bridge river that was a boundary for the village as it circled the fairies so they could not walk out , and an invisible cylinder that that too circled the village so they could not fly out.She also ate cress for dinner and purpleberry jam on leaves for supper, this routine was followed day after day.But one boiling day Sophie desperately wanted to know what was on the outside world and wanted to get out so badly, so desperately that she drew many plans that could force her and her fairies to come out, she hung them on her wall and looked at them for hours and hours, until a genious plan struck her mind...

The Real Story

At this point you are probably wondering why everyone wanted to exit their villages, well , once every 222 years(the birthday of Sophie actually, the 22nd of February!) an invasion caused by the 'Sinda'army of fairies(The Sinda army is a powerful force of fairies that go into as many villages to break and steal as much as possible) and we still do not know how they get in .They make damge to Sophies land for about two days but it takes her about one and a half months to recover and rebuild the land with help from others. However nobody in history of fairies has ever knocked down any wish trees for about four million years, thats how long the fairies have been around for-and most of them woken up from their flower four million years ago and are still living now. There is a famous legend - that not many people know which goes a little bit like this:the God of fairies ,Sanida, had a sister called Sinda.Sanida was the oldest one out of the both of them and wanted to take to the Goddess throne once her mother sadly passed away.Unfortunately Sinda knew that Sanida would rule and she was jealous , she wanted to be the God of fairies so fast that she poisoned her mother and her sister. When Sanida secretly got handed the magical wand of power and life from her parents, her mother died from the poisoning but Sanida survived as she had the wand.To get revenge for her sister she did not want to see her ever again .This is why Sinda made her powerful and fierce army from innocent fairies by turning them into horrible souls that had no heart - which she had made by flicking her wand (that she stole from the kingdom) at them.

The Escape

She had a brilliant plan-that probably noene had ever thought of-because the fairies would have been free from evil and live in peace by now.Sophie told every fairy and creature in the village that once the Sinda army come to destroy their land they would wait and wonder and see how the army gets in and out.It was the day,the day when at midnight Sophie's plan would take action.Mostly all the fairies were bored at looking out for the collosal army, but Sophie was determined and looked ,and looked, and looked...

'Where are those foolish beasts?'the princess wondered .They were nowhere to be seen ,many hours passed by and the candyfloss clouds turned grey ,while the glistening sun went down to take a rest from shining and the glowing moon came to haunt. Finally...there they were -in their deadly , black cloaks and in helmets of conkers-they stood out from the rest of the fairies. The leader let out a bloodcurdling low piched roar, this could only mean one thing , ATTACK! . The hopeless fairies flew quickly away from the danger and into their homely huts.It was a chaos you could hear and you could see.Even Sophie flew away as fast as she could. However , it got calmer till the end and the determined fairy watched from the top of the wish tree what the army did to open the doorway to freedom.First they clapped twice and then they knocked on the wall three times,at the end they said 'we have a gift' four times. Once the army left many fairies and creatures-such as butterflies and lady birds-cried at the destroyed land.'Please come to me ', Sophie proudly shouted,'I have an idea'.Everyone followed her to the wall as she did her routine. Did it work?

It was her time to shine and all the fairies and creatures gasped as a blinding light shone through the wall, then smaller flickering light followed shortly after . Could it have been so fast? Were they free?
