The Witch That Sang

Long ago there was a witch who sang songs to protect a town. All day and all night she would sing beautiful songs. Years went by and the princess of the kingdom died. The people of the kingdom raided the witch’s home. She simply sang her songs as they burned down her house. A child asked the villagers to stop, β€œWhy are you hurting her?” He questioned. When he died and the witch stopped singing, immediately the barrier around the town disappeared and the demon it kept out was released. To late the villagers understood. She sang to protect them.

Step Down

I don’t think everyone’s heard my side of the story. I’m the second sister of Miss Cinderella, so I bet you think I’m some snotty brat, but I don’t think Cinderella worked half as hard as I did to get to that ball. You might think I’m jealous and maybe I am but, I don’t see Cinderella dieting, or taking singing lessons, I don’t see her taking dancing lessons or even an etiquette lesson! I’d to see my fairy god mother help me but, I have to do my own makeup! What happened to everyone having a fair chance?

Can't See the Forest for the Trees

β€œThe trees here are exquisite!” Darren says, β€œHere there are so many varieties!” He seems to like to babble. I climb through my kingdom, of trees and rivers. I’m the last of the forest kingdom, the last spirit. Suitors have flocked to the forest, hoping I will grant them a rich harvest and lands. They think I will give them what they want. Although I have to say, this new boy, he’s different, not once has he mentioned anything about harvest. So, I decided today, I’ll show him me. I melt out of the trees, and I kiss his head.
