Prologue

I looked over my outfit in the mirror, smiling as I pulled the hem of my shirt lower over my skinny jeans. I nodded, grabbing my purse and slipping out into the chilly morning air.
In no time, I would be on a plane with my best friend to Greece. I was eager to get out of Panama City Beach, it just wasn't all it was when I moved here three years ago. Emma was the only thing keeping me grounded in this city.
I shook my head, glancing at the beach. The waves lapped the white shore, the sun's first rays were starting to break through the light mist over the water. It was beautiful, I admit, but I was used to it by now. The sunrises and sunsets, old news.
I wanted something new, a fresh start. Something like Greece, even if it is for two months, it's something new. New sights and sounds, new smells. New faces instead of the same old people coming in for summer with their grandchildren, instead of the same bikini bodies sitting out in the sun to tan.
I looked up and saw Emma resting against the hood of her brother's car.
"Hey," Emma smiled, pushing off the car and calling for her brother.
"Hey there," I hugged her, though it had been just last night I had seen her last.
Kellin walked out of the house and climbed in the car, waiting for us to get situated in the back seat.

Emma hugged her brother goodbye and thanked him for driving us to the airport, soon after joining me in line through the metal detectors.
I raised my hands above my head and stood in place, waiting three seconds and then moving on, slipping my TOMS back on as I waited for Emma. She smiled and slipped her heels back on, grapping her jacket and ticket and walked with me to the gate.
We waited thirty minutes before it was time to board. We had 'B' seats, therefore, we had to wait another fifteen minutes before we could line up.
By the time we were sitting in our seats, I was bouncing all over the place, ready to be walking the white beaches with my summer flame and Emma with her's. I was ready to go, to get my bikini on and flirt with all the hot Greecian guys.
I was ready for something new.
