We were on our way to my aunt’s house (which is in New York). We had just left at six thirty at night.
We had been driving for two hours and we were almost out of North Carolina. We were tired but we all stayed up. Then once we got to Virginia we stopped and used the bathroom. Then we got back on the road in Virginia and my sisters, mother, and grandmother fell asleep with my grandfather driving. It was only my grandpa and I still awake. (Until we got to Washington D.C.) Then they woke up and they stayed up. We saw a lot of things on our way there.
Β· In Washington D.C. we saw the white house and the Capitol Building.
Β· In Virginia we saw Kings Dominion and a ferry.
Β· In North Carolina we saw the Airborne and Special Ops Museum, Down Town Raleigh and much more.
Β· In New York we saw the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, The Brooklyn Bridge, Shay Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Manhattan, Long Island, The Beach Club, and about five other places.
Β· In New Jersey we saw the New Jersey Turnpike and fireflies.

Can you believe we saw all of this just going up to my aunt’s house to get to the family reunion? Well, we did see all of it and it only took eleven and a half hours all together. We got there at six o’clock in the morning. The day before the reunion, my aunt pulled up in her car not shortly after us.
That day we played video games and watched television down stairs in my aunt’s basement. We also played tag and hide n’ seek. In the basement, we played those two games and hid in so many places. We hid in the basement, in the bathroom, and in the bedrooms. Outside we hid under the deck, behind the car, on the side of the house, and behind the shed.
Then my other aunt showed up and we had even more fun with my two other cousins. We played games too.
Then my uncle asked me, β€œDo you want to have a cook out?” and I said, β€œYes, I do. If you let me help.” so he said, β€œSure.” Then we started making some ribs. He told me that the best way to make the ribs was to put them directly on the grill with no foil. We also made hamburgers and hot dogs.
After we made the food, we called everybody to the grill to pick out what they wanted and if they wanted their food any darker, we would put it back on the grill. After we ate dinner we played for a wile and a midnight we went in the house to go to bed.
We brought out our sleeping bags and got ready to go to bed. We the kids slept in the living room with to adults after the adults where a sleep the kids stayed up and talked, as we curled into our sleeping bags, we said goodnight to everyone.
The next day we woke up bright and early and ate breakfast. After that we got dressed in shorts, sneakers, and tee shirts. Then we went outside and played we’ll the adults and three older kids (me, my sister, and my cousin) got ready for the reunion we had to pull out a lot of food and chairs out and filled the coolers with ice and water, soda, juice and other beverages. We set up at least twelve tables one hundred chair; I probably went in and out of the house fifty times. We keep working until everyone got to the reunion. Then we had more help so the kids had to do less work.
When everyone got there, I realized that I didn’t know half of the people there at the reunion! At the reunion we had tons of food such as cheese, olives, sausage and peppers, chicken, ribs, lasagna, salads, subs, puddings, pies, fruit and so, so much more.
We also played a lot of game at the reunion like tetherball, basketball, football, and hide n’ seek. We played those games until one in the morning.
Then they said it was to dark out to play out side but we could play in side. So we did until two o’clock in the morning
Then everybody had to leave unless you where staying the night like us kids. Almost everybody left but a couple of the adults. We, the kids, stayed up and talked until the adults came down and told us to go to sleep and so we did.
The next morning we woke up very early so that we could do a lot of stuff that day such as cleaning and putting the chairs away that we pulled out the day before. We took the chairs and brought them back to The Beach Club. Then we played a little ping-pong at The Beach Club. After that we went swimming at The Beach Club. We swam for about five hours straight. Then we stopped to have lunch and we started swimming again until it was six o’ clock at night. After that, we left and went back to my aunt’s house and had dinner. Then my aunt asked me if I was ready to go back to school and I told her that β€œI rather stay up there with her than go to school” but she told my if I get good grades that next summer I could go up there for a while. So I promised her I would get good grades and be good. We kept talking and she said that I could also go up there for Christmas. Then we went to bed. That night I told my cousins what my aunt said and they were jealous, but I didn’t care. They didn’t talk to me for the rest of the night, so I went to sleep. The next morning I woke up before everybody else, so I played my Nintendo D S until my aunt claim down stairs. Then she made a French toss breakfast and we sat there and talked about us coming back next summer. After that it was time for us to leave and I was sad. I even cried until we got out of the state.
