started walking away. I ran after her. I can't wait to see my mommy again. I really don't remember much about her. I was about five when I last seen her.

I thought to myself. I keep smiling all the way to the old house Ms. Trotter stopped in front of. "Ok. Little One, we are here. She said.

We walked in to the house and I finally got to see my mommy. She was a pretty as I remember her.

. . .

"Zane, it's been about an hour, do you want to go check on Peace or do you want me too." I asked him.

"I'll go check on her this time. I'll be right back." He said.

I watched him get up and walk over to Peace's friends. He was talking to some boy and the instent Zane turned around I know something was worng. I got up and hurried over to him. "Whats worng?" I asked him.

"I was talking with Brendan and he said that Peace went off with some woman named Ms. Trotter."

"Oh my god. Why would she do that?"

"The woman told Peace that she knew our mom."

"What, I thought your mom left you two when she was about five."

"She did."

Zane got out his cell phone and called the cops. "911, What's your emergency?" The operator said.

"Yes, my nine year old sister was kidnapped by a woman named Ms. Trotter." Zane told them.

"Ok, Sr when was the last time you seen her, what did she look like, and what was she wearing?"

"She was wearing her blue puppy dog shirt with blue jeans and tennishoes. She is a brunette, it's a little longer than her shoulders. She has Lime Green eyes, about average height and weight. She also has her favorite doll with her too."

"Ok, don't worry we will do all we can to find her."

"Thank You."

"Your welcome."

When Zane got off the phone I started crying. Oh god please let her be ok. I thought to myself. We started to walk home. We didn't say anything as we walked. Finally we got home. "Babe, are you ok?" I asked Zane.

"No, all I had to do what watch Peace. I'm a horrable big brother." He said.

"No you're not. The woman told Peace that she knew her mother. Don't worry the cops said that they will do what ever they can to find her."

"I'm can't just sit around here while Peace is out there."

"Well, your going to have to, cause what if Peace comes back and we aren't here."

"I'll only sit and wait for a while. I'm just so worried about her."

"I know Love, I'm worried about her too."

I hate that we can't do anything right now. I really hope nothing bad is going to happen to her.

I thought to myself. We sat on the couch just waiting for the cops to call. Zane keep walking around the living room and watching the phone, with hope in his eyes. I felt so depressed.

After about a week or two, Zane decided that he would go out and look for her. He was tired of just waiting for the cops to find her. He left the house to check around the park, where she was last. "Be careful and make sure that if you find something you call me right away. Ok?" I told him.

"I will don't worry. I'll be back shortly, just don't leave the houes when I'm gone."

"You know I won't." I kissed him and then he left.

. . .

As I walked down the street going back to the park I was thinking. What if they never find her, or what if they do and she is dead. I wouldn't be able to handle that. She is my only sister and it was my job as a big brother to watch her and keep her safe, but I failed.

I started running now, going toward the park with that tought in my mind.

I finally got the park. I really didn't know were to start, so I just tried to retrace her steps. I headed toward the jungle gym. I looked around the slid, to check and see if Peace came back or left something, that the police might have missed. As I so that all I had on my mind was my little sister, Peace.

I found nothing by the slid so I went by the swing and sitting on Peace's favorite swing was her doll, Sally and there was something on her. I walked over to Sally and then I seen what it was. It's a note that's in Peace's hand writing. It read:

Dear Zane and Leara,

I know that you must be worried about me. I knew that you would come looking for me, so I had Ms. Trotter got back to the park and leave Sally and the note that I wort for you. I'm so sorry that I've been gone for so long. I thought that I would be back by now, but I'm with mommy. I'll try and be home as soon as I can. I'm sorry and I love you both very much.

With Love,
Peace

As I read I started crying. Why is she doing this? She should just come home and be done with this.

I thought to myself. I got out my cell and called Leara. It rang three times but she didn't answer and that made me worry. I thrusted my phone back in my pocket and ran all the way back home.

I was getting really tired of running, then I seen the house so I ran faster to get there. I got to the door and there was another note. As soon as I seen it my heart dropped. I grabbed the note and slamed the door open.

. . .

I heard Zane coming into the house and banging the door open. Then I heard him yelling my name. So I yelled back. "I'm up here in the attic, cleaning it out." He ran up the stairs and as soo as he came in the room I knew something was wrong, very wrong. I got up and walked over to him. "Whats wrong Zane?" I asked.

"I went to the park to look for anything and I found this." He said, holding Sally and a note.

"Let me see that note." I grabbed it and read it. I started crying. "Ohmigod! Why is she doing this?" I asked.

"I don't know." He told me.

"Have you ever heard of a Ms. Trotter before?"

"No, I haven't. By the way why are you up here and why didn't you answer you phone?"

"I came up here to do some cleaning to keep my mind busy. I'm sorry I left it down stairs."

"Thats ok, I just thought that some thing happened to and when I got to the door, there was a note on it." Zane held the note out to me. I looked at the note first and it wasn't any hand writing I reconized. So I read it out loud. "To Leara, This is Ms. Trotter. We have meet before but you might not remember me. I haven't seen you since you were just a little thing. I'll make sure Peace is looked after well."

"What is going on? I didn't know that you knew her."

"Neither did I."

This is not good."

"Yeah. Let me have your cell, so I can call my mother."

"Ok."

I got the phone from him and dieled my mom's number. "Hello?" She answered.

"Hey, mom it's me, Leara."

"I haven't heard from you in three years or so."

"Yeah, I'm sorry that I haven't called you in along time. I have a question to ask you."

"Yeah what is is?"

"Do you know a Ms. Trotter?"

"Well yeah I should know her, she is my younger sister."

"What really, then why haven't I met her before."

"You have, but you were only about four. Then she had to go away for along time.
Why are you asking?"

"She has my boyfriend's little sister. She said that she knew her mother."

"What's your boyfirend's name?"

"Zane Williams."

"Williams sounds familiar. What is his mother's name"

"Hold on I'll ask."

"Ok."

"Hey, Zane what is your mother's name? Mine wants to know."

"Her name is Cici Williams, but her maiden name is Stevens." He told me.

"Ok, mom his mother's name is Cici Williams and her maiden name is Stevens."

"Ohmigod. We do know her. We use to go to school with her and her husband."

"Do you know why Ms. Trotter would take her?"

"It had something to do with Cici and James's secret. Tell Zane to look in his
mother and father's stuff. There should be something in there and your aunts name is Carrie."

"Ok, thank you mom. I'll talk to you later."

"Ok, baby, it was nice to talking to you again. I love and miss you."

"I love and miss you too. bye-bye." I said while rolling my eyes. I closed the phone and handed it back to Zane.

"So what did she say to you?" Zane asked me.

"She told me that Ms. Trotter is my Aunt Carrie and that you should look in your parents stuff. There is some kind of secret and that's why she took Peace. Oh, her and my mother when to school with you parents." I told him.

We started looking through his parents stuff. We found a bunch of pictures but other than that we really didn't find anything. Luckly, after about an hour or so, I found a huge old trunk that was marked 'KEEP OUT!'

"Zane come here I think I found something." I yelled at him.

"What is it?"

"It's an old trunk." I showed him.

"Wow, I remember this from when I was littler." He tried to open it, but it wouldn't open. Then I seen that it had a lock on it.

"Zane there is a lock on the trunk."

"Oh, well that might be why it wouldn't open." He said laughing. He looks through another box and found a key that looked like it would go to the trunk. He put the key is and turnded it. The trunk popped opened. I came up to Zane next to the trunk, looking inside it and what cought my eye was a little blue journal that was half way covered by some kind of cloth.

I reached into the box and grabed it and read the first page. It really freaked me out, so I handed it to Zane. He took it from my hands and started flipping thourghd the pages. He got a weird look on his face. "What is it?" I asked.

"I found an intrey that has to do with Peace." He told me.

"Well read it then."

So he read. "It is June twenty-eighth. I just had a baby boy. He is so beautiful. I named him Sam James Williams. Then after waiting ninty-five minutes the nurse came in and told me that he had died. I started crying, but the nurse told me that there was a woman that just had a baby girl and she didn't want her. So I asked her if I was able
