second I didn’t sleep with anyone; I have been the one pregnant. You on the other hand have been screwing whatever moves.” She spat out.

“I want to see this child when it is born. I will not let you have sex with whomever you want and tell others that this is my child. If you don’t know who the father is just tell me now, got that.”
“You a….” the door opened and in walked Doug and the doctor. She has never been so happy to see someone in her life.
“I am here to check on you Tara, do you want everyone in the room with you when I do?” he asked eyeing everyone in the room.
“I want Doug for this part, then my mother to come back in when we are done.”
The doctor made sure Jake left, though he was complaining the whole time. My word was gold today and he did as I asked.
He sat on that black stool that is on wheels and checked her cervix again, Tara hated this part. She would have cramps when they did a pelvic exam.
“You should be feeling contractions any time and when you do I think your cervix is going to open up fast. I am going to give you another thirty minutes and check on you again. You are having your baby tonight.” The doctor walked out of the room and let her mother back in. She was glad they were able to keep Jake out.
Doug and her mother wanted to know what Jake said to her but she refused to talk about it. This was between her and Jake and she was not going to let him get away with talking to her like that.
“Mom is it possible to get a blood test done as soon as she is born? I just want the papers just in case it comes up later. You know what I mean?”
Lana’s eyes got big but she didn’t say anything and Tara was grateful for that. They were making Tara laugh, Doug was making silly faces or cracking jokes and her mother was talking about when Tara or Lana was born, the difference and all with the ages of time. Tara was having a good time even though she was in labor.
Lana excused herself; needing something from the cafeteria. When she was out of the room Doug turned to Tara and asked, “What did he want? I know he said something to you that he shouldn’t have. I could tell from your face when I walked in.”
Tara didn’t want to tell him the truth so she told him part of the truth instead. “He wants to have visitation with my daughter. Can you believe that?”
“That is not going to happen. You will fight him every step of the way and you have witness that says that you have not seen nor spoken to him in months. Believe me the law is more for the mother then the father so this will lean more in your way. You will have to work and go to school.”
Tara finally felt her first contraction start, it was pressure on her lower back and cramps as if she were going to start her period. She looked at Doug and said, “I think it is time, the contractions are finally starting.”
It did not take long for the cramps to turn into something much worse, it felt like she was being stabbed repeatedly in the same spot. She doubled over and clenched her stomach. Her forehead was beaded with sweat and her skin turned a pale color. She started to cry as the contractions came like a wrecking ball. She didn’t want to cry in front of Doug but she couldn’t stop the tears from falling down her face.
He stood up and walked over to stand behind her, she felt him start rubbing her back. That made some of the pain a little better, she groaned when he massaged her back and she would have a contraction. She wanted this to hurry and get over with. “Maybe we should let the doctor know that they have started. I think he should come in here and help me.”
Ten minutes later the doctor walked in and looked at Tara. He checked the machine. “It is time, I need to know now do you want to have an epidural or not?”
“I need the epidural; this pain is out of this world crazy. Please just make it stop.” She cried.
“They will back in less than five minutes to give you the shot and then it will be time for you to push your baby out and hold her.” He smiled walking out.
“I am so glad it is time for me to have her but I am scared to death to do this. I didn’t think it was going to hurt this bad, I really thought grownups told us that just so we wouldn’t have sex.”
Tara and Doug both laughed as if it was a joke. Maybe it was wrong that she wanted Doug here with her so bad, but she wasn’t going to say anything now that Jake was out there.

Holding Baby Tia

Tara had to sit up when the doctor came in to give her a shot, she crossed her ankles, leaned her head into Doug’s chest, and she had to cross her arms over her breast. They said it was so the patient didn’t jump so much when the needle penetrated the skin.
He said it was going to pinch and hurt some. It did pinch but it did not hurt nearly as bad as her contractions felt. The medication started working instantly and she was glad for that. She did not feel the pain in her stomach no more; she was not sweating so badly right now either. She was actually relaxed.
“How are you feeling Tara?”
“I do not feel the pain no more; I hope this does not wear off before the baby is born. I am in peace right now, I could fall asleep if I closed my eyes but I know the doctor will be in here soon.”
Lara was sitting near the window smiling, Doug was sitting in a chair next to her bed, and she was excitedly waiting for the birth of her baby.
“I see that you are feeling better. I am going to check you and make sure it is time for you to start pushing.”
He called in the nurses and they had a table type thing that had blankets and some other assorted things in it and pulled it near the bed.
“I am going to tell you when to push okay? Do not stop pushing until I have counted to ten then blow out your breath, count to five, and then pushing again.”
She did as she was told to and she felt like she was drained, there was nothing else for her to give. The doctor coached her through the end until the babies’ head popped out. When the baby fully came out the doctor yelled, “It is a girl!”
Tara collapsed on the bed, she was ready to close her eyes and sleep for a few hours but she knew she had to at least hold her daughter before she went to sleep.
“What are you going to name her?” The doctor asked her.
“I was thinking about Tia. What do you think mom?” she asked smiling; the look on her mother’s face told her she didn’t like the name, but she wanted to keep Tia as the name.
“Well you have until tomorrow at least to think it over fully, as of right now we are going to put the babies’ last name on the bedding she will be sleeping in.”
Before the doctor left the room she asked him the same question she asked her mother, “I was wondering is there a way we could do DNA right now? Before we leave the hospital I mean?”
“Yes, we can have that done by morning as long as all parties can be here.” The doctor said.
When the doctor left the room Lana walked over to the bed and looked down at her granddaughter then said, “Do you really want to name her Tia? I mean she has to keep this name the rest of her life.” She stated.
“Mom, please don’t start. I picked Tia and that is what her name is going to be. Now, what do you think of her? She looks like an angel to me. She looks more like me then Jake and I am thankful for that. I would like to see her eyes but she isn’t opening them right now.” She laughed.
Lana started snapping pictures galore of Tia, she was a proud grandmother even if Tara was too young, and she knew that her mother was not happy that she had a child so soon but she was not going to take it out on the baby or her daughter. Tara could not ask for a better family, they didn’t need Jake or her father.
“Mom I am so tired now, I am in need of some sleep. Does she stay in the room with me or does she have to be taken to the nursery?” she asked.
“As long as we are here then she is fine here. I think they take her when it is time for test or you are alone and go to sleep.” Lana told her daughter.
“Get some sleep; I am so proud of you. You did great.” Doug said.
Tara closed her eyes drifting into a heavy sleep. She was wore out from the whole the day, she didn’t want to deal with her father, she had her baby already, and now she was a mother but could not enjoy her baby because she was too tired to move.
She didn’t wake up until a nurse came into the room and checked her vital signs and pushed on her stomach. Tara opened her eyes and looked at the nurse; it was dark in the room now. She turned her head to the left and there was no one there either. “Where is my baby?”
“She is in the nursery; right now probably eating. We can go see her as soon as I am done checking you out. Your mom said she would be back in the morning.”
Tara didn’t want to be in the hospital all night by herself. She has never been away from her mom over night, not even at a sleep over; she had them at her house.
“Do you know what happened to the young man that was here with me?” she asked.
“He has gone to get something to eat. He should be back in a few if you would like to wait for him.” She smiled.
Tara laid her head back down, she wanted to go see her baby and she wanted to hold her but she also wanted to wait for Doug to come back in the room before she went to see Tia.
She ran
