Chapter one: The meeting
"The Regitgans will be here. We must be prepared." Declared Ruish, his voice never faltered, but his eyes falshed great fear.
"When can we expect their arrival?" Tentivly asked our newest recruit, Tawn.
"Before dawn." Promptly answered Ruish.
"Would we have to leave our humans?" I, Shiver, asked. I feared for my human. She knew who I was, yet that brings her closer to the Regitgans than I desired. Ruish only nodded his head. He was one of the few without humans, although he was paticularly close to mine. I let out a very stressful sigh, and nodded without complaint. Ruish was leader, and master of us all, I couldn't disobey his wishes.
"When are we leaving?" Asked Tawn yet again.
"By night break." Confirmed Ruish, he seemed anxious like he anticipated this attack long before we arrived on Earth.
"Did you have knowledge if this before we left the space wasteland we used to call home?" I asked, scared for our old home was a touchy subject for Ruish.
"Yes, and our old home wasn't a wasteland. Simply a war filled vile place..." His voice faltered. "You're correct." He stunk of defeat. I didn't mean to push him too far.
"Are you sure you have the correct time?" Spoke Tenitchan bravely. I was shocked, no one ever questions Ruish's acuracy!
"No, but night fall is the earliest I will allow us to leave." Ruish announced, he seemed different ever since the arrival of the news.
"Is something on your mind?" Asked Tawn who received an evil glare from Ruish.
"Fine." He muttered half-heartdly. We all didn't seem convinced, but it was Ruish we were dealing with he could have killed a butterfly, and be upset. "We will meet here at 1:00 a.m no later. Dismissed." Ruish revealed the final information then morphed into a silver Porsh.
"Something's up with him..." Tawn murmered quite loudly. He recieved some very scary looks, and he backed down. Tawn transformed into a blue van, and he rumbled off dust kicking up from his wheels.
"Well, that was a productive meeting." I stated clearing the silence. I hate silence, not because I am the only Transuni girl since who knows how long, but because all the men Transuni's had an awkward silence to them. We stared at each other for a few deathly silent seconds before I silently dissmissed myself. I quickly changed into a purple Vortex, and drove away.
Chapter two: The good-bye
I arrived home in about seven minutes after my departure. I parked out front, not wanting to wake my human, Val, from her required nightly slumber. Turns out I didn't have to. The garage door squeaked open revealing Val standing their, heer arms crossed, and her body covered in a robe. She looked concern, but I noted relif flooding over her as she examined me.
"Where were you!? I was scared half to death." She demanded an answer, and much like Ruish I respected her enough to tell her my task.
"I was at an emergancy meeting." Val's face softened. "The Regitgans are planning an attack. Ruish is anticipating it by Dawn, but were leaving by nightfall." I told her, still in my car form. Val nodded her anger spilling out of her.
"How long?" She asked expectantly.
"No clue, I may not even survive." I told her solemnly. I don't know how I managed to tell her without me leaking some oil.
"Oh, well..." She stopped, and hugged the hood of my car form. " I hope you live. I will miss you!" She wished me farewell.
"I shall miss you also, but duty calls. I must keep your home safe." I declared before driving out of the drive way. I honked several times before leaving the sight of Val. " I will protect you." That was my oath, and a Transuni keeps their oaths.
