Hi. My name is Joe Beattie, I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I have ADHD and dyslexia. Do you think your life is horrible? Well if so, mine is twice as bad, trust me! It all started when my mom's boyfriend blew up Greek monument.

I was at my house jumping on my trampoline in Athens Greece, when my mom called me to get in the car. I got off the trampoline and ran to the car. When I got in the car, mom asked me "Do you know much about the Atlas statue?"
"Oh, Yeah! Mom you know I'm totally obsessed with that kinda stuff!"
"Yeah, yeah, well we're going to go see it!"
"WHAT! But I thought that was blocked off right now!"
"Easy. No need to yell. But, yeah, I know. Well it's not for me!" My mom said with a mischievous smile.
"Oh I know! Your new boyfriend!"
"**Sigh** Yeah. He's letting me in," my mom said dreamily.
For the next 20 minutes nether of us said anything. We got to the Atlas statue, which was closed off do to repairs. We parked the car and,........ there he was waiting.
"Hello Julie, Joe. 'bout time ye got 'ere. Oh, Julie! Ye're looking fine toda'!"
"Oh, you're so sweet!"
"Oh you're so sweet!" I said mockingly "I feel like I'm going to puke."
Mom gave me a cold and scolding stare, so I decided to keep my mouth shut.
"Beautiful day now isn't it? Now let's get ye to d'at statue."
We walked toward the statue.
"wha!" WHOA! I've never seen Zues' temple so close before! Can I go see it Mom? PLEASE!?"
"Ok, Ok You can go. I got to do something anyway." she replied.
Was that a hint of bitterness I just heard there? I thought. Oh well! I get to go see Zues' temple, so why should I care!
That's when I saw I flash of pink from a shirt in the temple!
Amy! What is she doing here? I thought to myself.
"Amy What are your doing here?''
"Huh? Oh Hi Joe." Amy said with a look that looked like lovestruck.
"Why.... never mind. Um, You didn't answer my question."
"Here's the real question. Why are you here?"
"I'm here because I love Architect."
"I'm here for the same reason. Where's your mom?"
" Down th....."
The reason that I stop talking suddenly is because the statue blew up!
''ere, oh crap!" I continued.
I bolted for the statue, or where the statue was. Amy was yelling something but I couldn't hear her.
"MOM! MOM WHERE ARE YOU?" I Yelled as I climbed of a piece of the world.
"Well I'll be darned I was right! I blow up the statue and 'e comes running down. Oblivious to all der fire and smoke." Said a voice I knew all to well.
"What did you do to my Mother Jake?"
"Oh, 'er she's over dare."
Looked over to the place he pointed, And there she was knock unconscious and her forehead was bleeding badly.
"Mom!" I sceamed. I ran toward her but Jake, My mom's boyfriend jumped at me paws swinging. Wait, Paws I thought, and I got my first good look at him. I wished didn't. He was some kind of creature with the body of a lion and the head of a goat and on the end of it's tail, a snake's head. I froze, when Amy ran to me and gave me Bow and a quiver of arrows. I didn't think, I just went out on instinct. I shot and reloaded until Jake sceamed and turned to dust!
"It's not over, so don't let your guard down......."
SCREECH! I looked up.
"What the heck is that!? Wait, I think I know a herpy. No, Harpy! Is that a harpy A........"
She was gone! I looked up again and there she was hanging from her arms kicking and screaming!
"Amy! HOLD ON!"
"HOLD ON? TO WHAT?"
"GOOD POINT! I"LL TRY TO SHOOT IT WITH AN ARROW! OK?"
"ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU"LL HIT ME!"
"AS LONG AS IT GETS YOU DOWN!"
I strung an arrow, Amy screaming in protest, and let it fly. Thud! It hit the Harpy in the eye. It screeched and dropped Amy! She sceamed as she fell!
"THANKS FOR SAVING ME YOU DOLT!"
"HEY CAN"T BLAME ME FOR TRYING!"
"OH REALLY? GUESS WHAT! I JUST D...... Ow ow ow!" Amy sceamed as she landed in a tree. She climbed down muttering something to her self.
"What was that? A thank you?" I asked innocently.
"I said idiot!" She said sharply!
I could not help myself. She looked so strangely beautiful for someone who almost died. I had to kiss her! She was surprised at first but she gradually relaxed and kissed back.
"I thought I was going to die just now and never get to do that." She said with a sigh.
"Well that's Ironic when I lose my boyfriend, you get a girlfriend." said my mother as she creeped up to us, scaring the heck out of me.
"He's very handsome." Amy said to my mother.
"Yes he is. Very. Brave as well!" She said back
"Awwww he's blushing!" Amy said.
"Come on guys. Please stop it!" I pleaded.
"Ok, but now that there has been an attack we have got to get him to the camp." Amy said a little disappointed.
"NO! Not the camp! I'll never see him again!" My mother pleaded. " Anywhere but camp Poseidon! Please!"
"Camp Poseidon? Where in Athena's name is that?" I asked.
They looked over to me surprised as if they just realize I had been there the entire time. The anger just suddenly came.
"AS IF YOU BOTH DIDN'T KNOW I WAS THERE! YOU BOTH ARE INCONSIDERATE, MEAN AND RUDE!"
Amy started to cry.
"Car. Now!" My mom said angrily.
"Oh-uh! I'm sorry Amy." I said.
I grabbed her arm and kissed her cheek. She seemed to be happy after that and we got in the car holding hands. We were on our way! A few hours later we got there.
"Finally we're there!" Amy and I said in harmony. we ran up the hill when all of a sudden we heard a horn sound! We both drew our weapons. I strung an arrow, Amy stood ready with her sword. but instead of enemies we were engulfed in kids about our age, all of which were asking questions.

Chapter Two
Camp Posiden

So like I said my life is really screwed up! After the mob of kids thinned out, Amy and I walked down the hill to my mom.
"Geez! I almost got trampled up there. You OK Amy?" I asked
"Not a scratch, just a little dazed."
When we reached the car my mom was gone!
"Um....... Mom?"
"Mrs. Beattie?" Amy called out.
Something flashed from behind the car window.
"Shhhhhhh." Amy whispered
"Oh come on! I thought we just killed this guy! I protested as the manticore jumped out from behind the car.
