Prologue
In the dead of winter, Ruth, the queen's lady in waiting, took the queen's daughter, Lina, to an orphanage to save her form Riikard. She layed the baby in a basket and put her on the front steps of Mrs. Spellman's Orphanage. She rang the doorbell, and disappeared into the woods.
Mrs. Spellman opened the door and looked around, she was about to close the door, but she spotted the basket so she stopped. She bent down and grabbed the basket and brought it inside. She opened the lid of the basket and gasped, she saw the most beautiful baby girl she ever saw. Mrs. Spellman picked up the baby and a letter fell out. After placing the baby back into the basket she picked up the letter and opened it and read.
"This is Lina Mia R. She is 2 years old as of June 16. Please keep her safe and take good care of her. Love, Sarah R."
Mrs. Spellman being jealous that her daughter is not as beautiful as Lina, brought her to one of the maids of the orphanage, named Lisa, and told her to care for the child and when she is old enough make her help out around the orphanage.
Mean while, Ruth makes it back to Sarah, her queen, and tell her "I have brought her to the orphanage as you have asked me too."
"Thank you! Now take your son and flee. Riikard is about to get past the gates. Cornelius is trying to hold him off just a little longer for more people to escape." Sarah explains.
"Alright I will. Good luck Sarah! I hope I'll see you in the future." Ruth says. they hug each other and Ruth heads off to get here son.
"Everhart, come here son, we have to go now." She yells. "Did you pack like I told you to?" She asks.
"Yes mom, I did." He tells her as he puts on his little backpack full of toys and clothes. Ruth grabs her bags and took her son to the portal. They both jump through the portal as Riikard got past the gates.

Chapter 1

(Lina)
"If I die young, bury me in satin, lay me down on a bed of roses......" my radio alarm clock sang. Great another long day doing chours for Mrs. Spellman.
Well, my name is Lina and I am an orphan and I live at Mrs. Spellman's Orphanage for girls. I was raised by Miss. Lisa one of the orphanage's maids. She was nice lady, who made sure I was well maniored girl. Once I was old enough to hold a broom, I had to help out around the orphanage. I never understood why I had to work and not any of the other girls that stayed here. Plus, I had to live in the basement of the orphanage, while everyone else lived upstairs.
I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to take a shower. After I get done getting ready I head upstairs and start doing my chours. First, I help Miss. Lisa make breakfast for everyone and set the table. At 8:00 I ring the bell for everyone to come down to eat breakfast. As usual I serve all the girls and Mrs. Spellman their breakfast. After all that is done me and Miss. Lisa head into the kitchen and eat our breakfast real quick so that we can go back in there and serve them more juice and take their plates if they are done with it.
I go back in there and start picking up plates. When I get to Emily's, Mrs. Spellman's daughter, I acidently spill juice on her. "OH MY GOD!" she yells, "YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT!! MOTHER LOOK WHAT SHE JUST DID TO MY DRESS!!"
Mrs. Spellman gets up and comes over to me and slaps me in the face." You will not have dinner tonight and you will get switched 10 times for doing this to Emily." she snirs. I look at Emily and she is smiling. I never knew why she hated me so much.
I look back to Mrs. Spellman and mudder "Yes ma'am". I hate when I get hit with a switch. I have been hit so many times because of stupid things that I did or didn't do. Also, Emily has made it her goal to make me get as many switching as posible. I hate my life, I can't wait til I turn 18 and get out of here. I already have a place that I can stay at until I get enough money to get my own place. Just one more week and then I am gone from this hell whole.
I start to head to my room, while Mrs. Spellman goes and gets her switch. After a while she comes in with a switch and I turn and lay on my stomach awaiting the pain. Mrs. Spellman starts to hit my back and I start to cry silently wondering why me? What did I do to deserve this? Finally Mrs. Spellman is done and leaves the room. A little while later Miss Lisa comes in and brings a bucket with warm water and arag, and starts to clean up the blood and the cuts. "I am sorry baby, I hope it stops hurting soon" she says with a frown on her face.
I smile at her and say "Thank you for the help. One more week and then I am out of here for good."
"I am Glad. It's about time you get out of here. Well you rest and don't move around that much so you don't reopen the wounds." She tells me.

Finally its my birthday. I grab the papers I got off the internet and head to Mrs. Spellman's office. " Mrs. Spellman it is my 18th birthday today and I have the papers here that you need to sign so I can leave this place." I tell her.
"Here give it here you ungrateful child." She tells me. She signs the papers and hands them back to me. I grab them and run out the door heading to my room. I fold the papers and stick them in the envelope I already had ready. I grab my bags that I had packed and head out of the orphanage. I go to the mail box and put the envelope into the box and shut the lid. Today is going to be the best day ever. No more Mrs. Spellman and Emily hallelujah. I take off to the park to my little hideout I found and put my stuff down. The only thing that would make this day better is if I could get rid of this headach I have. As if on cue it got a lot worse. It hurt so bad I passed out.

(Ruth)
My faery finder just picked up a royal's power. It must be Lina. I knew she would turn 18 today. I hope she is alright and the pain was not that much for her. I need to send Everhart before Riikard sends someone to get her. "Everhart come here." she yells up the stairs at her house. She hears him come down the stairs and sees him enter the kitchen.
"Yes mom? What do you need?" He asks.
"I need you to go get princess Lina. She just turned 18 and her life is in danger. She is at Mrs. Spellman's Orphanage for girls. If she is not there use the faery finder to track her." she tells him.
"Ok mom I will go get her!" he exclaims. He goes and gets his bow and arrows and grabs some cash just in case. He jumps into the portal and goes to the orphanage.

(Riikard)
"What do you mean you are picking up the power of another royal?" he asks his guard. "SPENCER GET IN HERE!!! NOW!!!" he yells. Spencer runs into the room. "I want you to take this faery finder and find the one that is giving off the royal power. I want you to kill them." he says.
"Yes sir. Right away sir." he says and grabs the faery finder and his bow and arrows and goes to the portal to go get the faery.

Chapter 2

(Everhart)

I get out of the portal and I see that I am surrounded by woods. I have no idea where to go so I take out the faery finder and turn it on. Immediately it starts beeping, and telling me to go west. After following the beeping for awhile I come upon a road that leads to a town. I did not want the people of the town to see me so I made myself invisible, and started to walk toward the town. Before I made it to the town I came upon a park. I started to walk past it, but the faery finder started to not beep as fast so I turned back to the park to go check it out. After walking for awhile the faery finder started to go crazy because their is a royal's power ahead so I turned it off. I came upon an old wood shed that has been overgrown with trees and plants. I looked all around the shed trying to find a way into it, but the only way there was is a whole in the side of it, that was almost to small for me to get in. After crawling into the shed, I started to look around. It was just a normal old tool shed with old rakes and shovels. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a shoe that was attached to a leg behind an old wheel barrow. I made my way around the wheelbarrow and gasped.

There, laying on the ground was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her long curly dark
