My Superhero

My Superhero

Being an eleven year old girl with a love for my pony, Sheena. She is my best friend that is, outside of my hero, Superman. The three of us have been best buddies for at least four years.

Sheena and I were out walking down the horses’ trail one day and it was blistering hot, as the sun was beaming down on us as we walked. The path was cool though because the wind was blowing softly through the trees along the path.

Sheena was already irritated, as she did not want to exercise today. I was aggravated too because I wanted to stay inside in the air conditioning, but I knew that she needed that walk.

She dragged slowly behind me as I fed her carrots to keep her moving in the right direction. Bam! Down she went after tripping over a log and twisting her ankle. She never made a fuss, just lay there, and continued eating her carrots.

After staying there for over an hour, I knew that I needed some help and soon. Now Sheena was thirsty and there was no water there for her.

I closed my eyes and wished that he would appear to help me. I felt a strong wind and there he was. My superhero, my help, Superman. He bent over and came up; with Sheena across his shoulder. My eyes were wide with excitement.

He lifted me with his free arm and into the air we flew. We landed safely in front of the Vet’s office door and he gently sat both of us down. Superman kissed me on the cheek, bid me farewell and flew away.

Sheena and I both smiled as he flew away.
