My name is kendaya and I’m an ordinary 17 well ish. I lie on the bed and look up at the false glow in the dark start on my celling. This is it for me, this in when I feel most happy. But is this living or am I just alive, breathing in and out to stay alive but not doing anything to be living. My life is pointless and everyone knows it. I used to think that I would accomplish great things but I’m no one special. When I was born my dad had left and apparently my mother had just disappeared one day so the only place that would take me was the orphanage. I know it depressing but what can I say that’s just life. But I can’t help but think that they might be out there. I look down to weird tattoo birthmark thing on my arm (which the doctors can’t decide what it is) which looks like a ying yang with a star.

 Chapter one: who am I?

My alarm clock goes off and I hit the snooze button. I walk over to my small closet and pull out some clothes and underwear. I take a quick shower and blow-dry my hair then pull on my clothes. Today is the first day of senior and my first day at the public school down the road. Me and the other orphans used to go the a special privet school coz we are all rich with the money are parents left us but I want to save it now so I decided to go to  the public school. I put on some eyeliner and lip gloss and let my curly black with a strip of grey hair flow around me. I take a quick look in the mirror at what I’m wearing. I decided to go with light blue high waisted jeans, a 99 problems crop top. As accessories I have a black beanie and some black Jordan’s. When I’m finally finished I go downstairs to the kitchen and grab a granola bar. I get some dirty look from some of the other girl in the kitchen but I just laugh and go to get the school bus.

The bus arrives at school and we all climb off I’m too nervous to ask anyone for directions so I look on the map on the wall. “Kendaya, Omg it is you.” Shout someone from behind me. I turn to see a beautiful Sarah standing behind me. Sarah has been my friend for ages but she left the orphanage and went to live with her boyfriend and we haven’t talked for a year. We hug and I can’t wipe the smile off my face. “Hey Sarah I’ve missed you. Do you mind helping me get to the front office?” I ask and she nods. We walk for a while and catch up I notice some people staring wide eyed and I think it’s because of Sarah. Sarah is blond and blue eyes with tanned skin and an hour glass figure. I would be surprised if people didn’t stare.  I get my schedule and Sarah takes it from me to see what classes we have together. “We have everything together except music.” she says and we both smile about that. We walk into first lesson which is English and take two seats from the back and I start to doodle in my note book. The teacher walks in and I introduce myself to the class. “Hello I’m kendaya Zafnea and I love to sing.” The class says hellos back then I take my seat and sir starts the lesson. I turn to the right page of Romeo and Juliet and start to read.

I’m starting to get really into the book when the door fly’s open and in the doorway stands three boys. The boy in the middle looks round the room and his eyes land on me and a breath gets caught in me. He is tall and tanned: with a black top, black jeans and Jordan’s. He has brown eyes and a cut in his left eyebrow. “It’s you.” He says in a low voice a growl escaping his lips. He walks over to me and picks me up out of my chair and push’s me up against the wall. His hands are on my hips. We stare at each other for what seems like forever until James (Sarah’s boyfriend) comes up behind him and pulls him off me. I land on the floor in a crouched position and look up to see James in front of me giving this dude a weird look. I stand up and the boy looks from me and James then back again. His face falls in disappointment, anger and Omg and jealousy. I look around the class to see shocked faces. The bell goes and everyone walks out, even the teacher. “Move rouge I need to talk to her.” Says the boy with so much authority in his voice, I see James cringe slightly but he doesn’t move. “Hey I’m fine take Sarah and I’ll see you guys in maths ok.” I say and he looks at me for a while then he leaves. James whispers something to the boys and the leave to. “So what do you want?” I ask and sit on my desk. He looks down at me and seems to be finding the right words. “I want um I want you.” He says and I can’t help but cracking up he give me a puzzled look and it makes me laugh harder. I slide off my desk and grab my bag. “I’m sorry dude but you’ve got the wrong girl.” I start to head for the door but he grabs my hand and pulls me back to him. A tingle goes through my arm and I look up at him. “You are mine.” He says and the look in his eyes is deep. We stand there for a while. He holding my hand in his while the other one is around my waist. My free arm is on his chest and I can’t help but run it up to his hair. He closes his eyes and lets out a small sigh. “Kendaya we need to talk about some stuff. For starters my name is deckzan and you belong to me.”

CHAPTER TWO: Finding out the truth

I stand there staring at Deckzan like he's crazy. I step out of his hold letting his arms fall. "Kendaya I'm your mate and we are meant to be together." He says and I shake my head this can't be happening there is no way in hell I'm getting mated to a wolf. I'm a witch for gods sake I don't need or have to deal with this. "I'm sorry but your not my type." I say slowly picking up my bag and taking another step away from him. My body suddenly feels cold again. He reaches out to grab my hand but I pull it away. "Don't touch me dog!" I spit out before exiting the classroom without a glance back.

I run through the now empty corridors and enter my maths room. "Sorry I'm lat-" I stop mid sentence seeing the teacher snoring n his seat. I let out a small laugh before joining Sarah and James at the back of the class. "What
happened?" They both ask at the same time. I'm about to talk when I hear the door open. I turn to see deckzan enter and sit with his friends. I see a girl with blond hair in a short skirt rush over to him and start rubbing herself on him and my hands go into fists. I turn back to them and continue. "He told me he was my mate but I told him he wasn't me type." I say and they both look at me like I had just killed some one. I look at there shocked faces and give them a confused one. "You turned down your mate." Asks James in a small voice. And I nod casually. I look back up to them. "I'm not going to date an stupid, immature, rich, jock stereo type pup." I say and each word get a little louder. I hear a growl erupt from the other end of the room and everything goes silent. "Anyway I have a boyfriend." I say and if like he was waiting for an intro in walks my over protective boyfriend Oliver. I stand and run into his arms and he easily lifts me up. "Hey baby k." He say and I smile as he uses my nick name. "Hey Ollie." I say and pullout off his grasp. And just as me feet touch the ground someone pushes Ollie. "Oh hell no dick she's mine." Says a deep voice and I turn to see deckzan, oh no.
