fortress

As mist starts to form in the middle of an abandoned field I begin to walk towards it. It is a stormy night with clouds forming a hole around the area the mist is forming. As I step in the center I feel at home with no worries. But as the mist starts to spread around me I feel it lifting me off my feet. Horrified of heights I do not look down I keep my eyes shut. Suddenly I drift in to a weary sleep as the mist calmly puts me down in the center of the storm. Waking up in my bed the next morning I fear it was only a dream. But it felt so real that I had to go back to the field to see if it was or wasn’t a dream. Walking back towards the field I am amazed at what stood in front of me was no longer a field but a forest. I look at it in shock then start going towards it . For some reason my mind was saying stay out but my feet kept walking as if I no longer had control of my body but only my mind. I start to open my mouth to scream for help but I was already so deep I doubted anyone would ever hear my cry. Going toward this mystical tree with long lembs I looked at it confused as to why my body led me here. With out fear I touch the tree trunk and felt more powerful than ever. Suddenly the grown shook and the trees grew out of their roots standing like humans with leaf animals forming around. They told me I am the guardian because I came forth during the storm and that I shall now be stronger than any human I am immortal.
