`Dont die on me girl.´, he said with a heartbreaking tone in his voice.`I need you!´
tears ran down his cheeks. The girl in his arms wasnt moving. She looked as if she was sleeping, but he knew she wasn´t. Her eyes were closed, so he couldnt see the faint lilac iris wich was hidden behind the leds. It stardet to rain. thick dark drops fell on her pure white face. It was even pailer than it used to be. The rain slowly washed away the little blood stains on the asphalt who were the only witnesses of the crime wich has happened on this fateful evening. The little evidence that could have been used to find the killer was washed away. A little river was flowing down the uneven street and in to the feelds. How ironic it was that she was dying right here were they´ve met the first time, when she had saved his life. Ironic indeed that he couldn´t return the favour.
A hand touched his shoulder. He stiffened.
`She`s dead, leave her be´, sad a soft voice.
Anger stired up in him,no body had the right to tell him anithing. He knew it was not there foult but he couldn`t help it. His anger rose to an unlimited level. Fire stired up inside him. And than it happened.
The girl moved. First he thought he`d imagened it but than her eyelids started to move and her lips formed a word he couldn´t hear.
`W-what?´,his voice cracked.
`Damn that hurt!´, she said weakly.
He was standing at the busstop waiting, enxiously and cold. He knew he was watched.
His hand was on the cold grip of his sword on his brown letherbelt. His breth built a little cloud infront of his mouth. The night was way to cold for hunting, but bounty was bounty. The weed on the felds that were right next to the street were wrafting back and forth with the wind. Than he heard a cracking sound, like somthing steped on wood. His grip thigtened. With nerrow eyes he lookt sraight in to the eyes of a wolf like creature with huge fangs and claws wating for him to make the first move. He drew his sword. It was an old european sword, heavy but deadly. The wolf jumped at him. He doged and sliced at the dog but it duck away. The hellhound grinned his teeth and grouled. Two other ones apeared out of nowhere and were growling at him. He swallowed hard. There was no way he could fight all three of them. The first one jumped at him but he rolled away and smashed his blade in to the beasts belly. The monster broke down instantly. But the other two started atacking together. They were fast. But he managed to slice one on his front paw, it houled and stardet to hobble. But the other one was twice as fast as before. It scratched and bitt but he managed to doge. After about twenty minutes he managed to kill the injured hound with an accurat sclice, the last one took his chance and jumped at him. They both slamed in to the grond. He felt dizzi but the hellhound jumpt on his feet and was abot to bite his face off when he houled and fell on to the grond. With a disgusting sond someone pulled ot a silver shmmering blade draind in black blod.
A womman stood above him. Her dark shape seemed thretning but beautifull. Her face seemed paile like marble and was the oposit of her black hair, wich was tide in to a ponytale. Her lilac eyes fixed him with an bold stair. She wasn´t wearing much so he wonderd how she couldn´t shiver. Than his eyes fixed on her sword. It was a Japanese Katana wich lookt like on of the Yoshihara, wich was NOT easy to get! He jumped to his feed and picked up his sword. She instantly changed in to defense mode and glared at him.
`Wow, Girl!´, he sad when she tightened her gripp on her Katana.`I dont want to fight you.´
But she didn`t move.
`What are you doing in my Village?´, she asked with an icy tone in her voice.
He shrugged. `My job.´
Her eyes narrowed.`This was my job, not yours. This is village propperty. So go home.´
She turned to go but he stopt her. `I am not going with out my bounty. I risked my life to kill those hellhounds, and your telling me..´
`....that you would be dead if I wasn´t here, so your life is your bounty.´,she finished his sentence and started walking. He followed. He wouldn´t be shook off that easely.
`Thanks for my life and all, but i want my bounty. Right now!´
The woman stopped in her tracks and turned. There was pure anger in her face.
`Belive me, this village wont pay you. They have bigger problems than us mere bounty hunters.´, she said.
`Then why are you fighting for this village, you surely are payed.´, he said madly.
She shook her head.`No, I´m not. Not the way you are, but you wouldn´t understand.´
He frowned. What a lame excuse. `No way I´d leve with just that. I want somthing worthy of my work.´
She sighed. ` I´ll give you my sword if you want it.´ She held it ot to him. But he just staired at her. She would give away her weapon for the village, all though it was the moast valueable thing in a bountyhunters life and that katana was worth mor than he could ever have.
He shook his head. `I can´t take it.´
She looked confused. `Why not you wanted something expensive, didn´t you? So take it!´
`It´s not mine to take´, he said misserable.`How about a bed and some worm food?´
She looked at him undefined. Than she nodded slowly. `You´ve got yourselve a deal Mr. Bountyhunter.´, she winked and gave him a sign to follow.
