*Can you feel my heart?!?!?!*
I wake up to my alarm clock blasting a song by Bring Me The Horizon in my ears. Ugh! my first day at my new school, how fun! Not. I hop out of bed and rush to the bathroom to take a quick shower, I love the way it feels to have the hot water rush over me in the mornings. When I get out of the shower I put my clothes on, blow dry and straighten my hair, and put just a bit of make-up on. I donβt really like to glob it on my face like a lot of other girls, but then again, Iβve never really been like girls my age. Iβve never gotten along with other girls, I prefer hanging out with guys and I like skateboarding, listening to punk bands, and just chilling.
When Iβm done with my make-up I run downstairs to grab a pop-tart, thatβs where I hear my brother Ethan already cranking the car. I start freaking out and rush to put my shoes on and grab my bag. When I get in the car I start yelling at Ethan.
βDamn it Ethan! You could have told me you were coming to the car!β
βSorry Sam, you were taking too longβ, Ethan says while backing out of the driveway.
βYeah, yeah. I had to grab something to eat. Anyways, itβs not like Iβm in a rush to go to this stupid school anyways.β I say as he pulls up to the front entrance of Glen View High. I mean seriously, this school pretty much only takes the rich, preppy kids. I was only accepted because I do so well in my classes.
Ethan drops me off and I head inside to the main office of the school. When I walk through the door thereβs a chubby woman with long, grey hair, hazel colored eyes, and red puffy cheeks waiting to greet me.
βHello there! You must be our new student, Ms. Winters. Iβm Mrs. Hanes, the office secretary.β The woman says as she inspects me from head to toe.
βItβs Sam, and yes I am new. I came to get my schedule; my mom told me you would have it for me this morning.β I reply as I begin to stare at the ground with intensity, I hate it when people stare at me like that!
She begins digging around her desk, probably looking for my schedule, when she suddenly yelps, βFound it! Sorry I tend to get my papers mixed up from time to time. Hereβs your schedule, if you wait a moment I can find someone to show you to your first period.β
βOh, no thanks, Iβm sure I can find it on my own.β I tell her as I walk out of the office and down the large hallway. My first class is biology in room 215, I walk around for a while counting the numbers on the doorways beside the classrooms but none of them say room 215. Finally I just give up and decide to sit in the hall until second period starts and I can get directions.
When the bell rings I go to grab my book bag from beside but all of a sudden it gets kicked across the hallway as people start rushing out the their classrooms. I stand up and start walking towards my bag when I trip on some ones foot and run into someone standing in front of me. As soon as I hit the ground I feel pain shoot through my elbow and realize that I landed on it. I sit there rubbing my elbow for a moment until I hear a high pitched voice above me. When I look up I realize itβs the girl I just ran intoβ¦.why is she yelling? Iβm the one that was really hurt. Finally I started actually listening to what she was talking about.
ββ¦complete moron! This is a designer bag! How dare you make me drop it, you are sooo going to pay for this you freak!β she yells while I just stared blankly at her.
βI am so sorry!β, I say as I attempt to stand up while people are stilling swarming around me, βI didnβt mean to bump into you.β
βWhatever! Just know that I will be getting payback for this.β The girl sneered before strutting down the hall with her two friends trailing behind her.
*Well this is going to be an interesting year*, I think to myself as I begin searching for my next class.
