Prologue.

β€œWhere do you suppose we are?” asked Vredesbyrd as she carefully looked at Straga, her eyes squinted to shield them from the falling rain. Straga who had been hunched over for quite sometime on the back of her War Wolf, Svala, straightened to keep herself awake,
β€œI’m not..sure. We went West just as Father had told us to, and with no map at hand, we could be in the middle of nowhere..”
β€œBut look at this place!” Vredesbyrd exclaimed with wonder to her sister, β€œIt is lush with green, and not to mention that it is so much warmer here than Frodi. Do you think that we’re in the Scottish Highlands that Father had told us about? He has always told us about the man who lives here, McTavish I believe his name was if my memory serves me. Straga! Maybe Father told us to come here to meet up with McTavish! Maybe he knew-”
β€œCan you be silent for one second?!” Straga snapped. Svala’s ear sharply drew back at Straga’s high pitched outburst, and she came to a halt. The rain came down harder making the two even more drenched than when they once were, and making the dirt and blood run off of their young skin, soiling the ground. Straga did not make eye contact with Vredesbyrd after her surge of anger, she just starred down at her small hands that held the reins of her wolf, and the necklace of a friend.
