Hello there, my name is Rogue. I was meant to have a proper name. But when I was born, my family didn't like me because I was different. Probably because I was pink with blue spots. Not very Dragonly.
So my Father, my brother and my Uncle, Flamecrown, Viperhead and Ironwing, hated me. So much, that, they kicked me out of the clan as a little dragon whelp. My Mother, Opalclaw, would help me my bringing me food and keeping me warm. When I was a fledgling, my Mother snuck me back into the clan. My Father wasnβt happy.
So, yet again, I was kicked out. But I thought that he would be more understanding of me. I thought that you shouldnβt judge a book by itβs cover. Or, that is, a dragon by itβs blue spots. So, for that, I had to survive 117 years (7 in human years) of hardcore survival . All because of my dear old Father.
Then, one day. I decided enough was enough! I was going to go back to my clan and stay! And not even my Father could stop me! I got back to the clan and it all fell silent. I obviously looked different. I looked into a nearby stream and gasped as I saw a reflection that wasnβt mine. I saw a strong young, slender dragon, with glimmering black scales that looked sharp enough to fell tree. Piercing green eyes looked back at me and his claws were as sharp as blades.
My Father stepped forward and warily asked me who I was. When I replied that I was his son, his expression changed. He was proud of me. He apologised for every bad thing heβd ever done to me. And welcomed me back into the clan with a new name. Razorscale.
So that is the story of how I became me, and my dear old Daddy realised that being different isnβt always a bad thing. And I hope that you have realised that as well.
