MANDY THE ALPHA DOG

Many animals are pampered
and many are unfairly reviled
needing advocates threatening,
demanding justice;
yet wanting and seeking fairness.

There is sometimes
hubris in decisions, thereby allowing
ephemeral anger to flare.

And that anger dieing far too quickly
like the vaporous animate existence of those
pets who are unloved,
hurling them so quickly
as ashes in the wind, but yet -

‘Dog’ spelled backwards is ‘God;‘
oh, that man’s mistreatment of
godly creatures now be at an end.
