Charlie was walking home when she saw a glimmer of blue in the woods, as she stared the woods seemed to call her then slowly and peacefully as if in a trance she seemed to glide into the woods. She stopped gliding when she was surrounded by trees and bushes suddenly she started hearing sounds all around her she was facing the road out in the sunlight when she heard a rumbling sound behind her she turned slowly and saw a massive blue dragon, it turned and ran through the undergrowth limping and trailing blood from an injured leg and wounded wing. Charlie turned 180 degrees and ran, her legs getting scratched from thorns. Breathless, and bleeding from thorns Charlie ran the rest of the way home, "Charlie" her mother said "why are your legs bleeding are you allright" "yeah I'm fine just scratched them on the way home" Charlie replied.
That night at 1 am Charlie decided to help the dragon, even if it was scary, she flung the duvet off her body sat up, flipped the switch for her little blue lamp on the bedside table and put her feet on the soft blue mat that was on the floor and stood up as the light illuminated the white walls, she walked over to the door and opened it slowly, then she crept up the stairs as they creaked under her weight. She crept to the upstairs bathroom flicked the switch and the bathroom was bathed in golden eletrical light. She opened the drawer with the first aid and took out two huge rolls of bandage and a jar of soothing cream that kills germs and bacteria. Charlie then turned off the light and went to bed with the bandages and soothing cream under her pillow.
Chapter 2 Charlie helps
The next morning dawned as golden as pixie treasure, Charlie looked under her pillow got the cream and bandages and put them in her school bag. Then she opened the curtains and squinted as bright sunlight glared at her eyes, then she went into the kitchen for breakfast. 7 and a half hours later, "Hello" Charlie yelled into the woods, "GGGRRRHHAA" the dragon replied "its ok I'm only trying to help" Charlie yelled, the dragon decided to trust her, Charlie walked slowly into the undergrowth pushing vines away from her face. The dragon crept up to her, " lie down and I can help" Charlie said softly, the dragon did what she said, Charlie smeered the cream onto the wounds gently and uses a tissue to wipe away the blood and then bandaged the wounds up tight. " what's your name?" Charlie asked the dragon, the dragon scratched the name "Heidi" into the ground, "oh you're a girl" Charlie said. A few minutes later Charlie had to go, so carefully, stepping over the thorns Charlie left, leaving behind a slab of raw meat she had taken for the dragon.
For the next month Charlie helped and gave Heidi food, "lets see if you've healed" Charlie said after the month of helping Heidi, she carefully unwrapped the bandages and saw that the wounds had healed, "try to fly" Charlie said to Heidi, so Heidi flew, she rose from the bushes and circled five times and landed.
Chapter 3 Charlie flies
Heidi put her wing down and gestured for Charlie to climb on her back, so Charlie did, she climbed one Heidi's scaly, slimy feeling, back, seconds later, they were in the air flying and twirling, Charlie was a little bit scared but most of her was fascinated and excited. After twenty minutes later of flying Heidi landed smoothly in the forest, Charlie slid of her wing and landed of the ground. "Thank you Heidi, that was amazing, really, thanks" Charlie said gratefully "I must go now I'm sorry" Heidi said " oh and what's your name?" "Charlie's my name, you can talk!" "Yes and now I must go home, sorry Charlie" Heidi said sadly.
Charlie threw her arms around Heidi and said "good bye and thanks for the flight" "its allright, you did save my life, I would have died from blood loss if it weren't for you. And also if you want to know how I got hurt, its because I was attacked when I was sleeping by five packs of aggressive wolves."
Chapter 4 Charlie says goodbyeAfter Heidi left, all excitment left Charlie's life, a day after Heidi left Charlie's mother said to her " I know you're lonley a lot, so I got you this" and then she showed Charlie an adorable daschund puppy, " its a girl" Charlie's mother said, I will call you Heidi" Charlie said as she hugged the puppy 'in memory of my friend Heidi the dragon' she thought happily. THE END!
